Westport Country Playhouse will stage Terrence McNally's summer sizzler, 'Lips Together, Teeth Apart,' directed by Playhouse artistic director Mark Lamos, playing July 12 - 30. The third production in the Playhouse's 80th birthday year, 'Lips Together, Teeth Apart' is a perceptive comedy with powerful dramatic conflicts about two straight couples spending a July weekend on Fire Island.

Lee Theatre Research Institute has announced that it will present the prestigious 2011 Margo Jones Award to Lincoln Center Theater dramaturg Anne Cattaneo. Auditions for the pop-rock musical Next to Normal, the first show in Pioneer Theatre Company's 2011-2012 season, will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2011, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Callbacks will be Thursday, June 16, 2011; that time will be announced to those called back.

Nutley Little Theatre's red barn, which is nestled in the heart of Nutley in North NJ, saw the theater company's humble beginnings as a parish-based arts ministry in 1934 and its first regular season plays directed by Robert Winternitz in 1934 to 1935. That same iconic red barn also serves as the performance venue in NLT's current season -- 76 seasons and counting -- that closes with William Finn and Rachel Sheinkin's Broadway musical The 25th Annual Putman County Spelling Bee from June 10 to June 25.
