New Century Players' THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE, featuring Music and Lyrics by William Finn, Book by Rachel Sheinkin and Conceived by Rebecca Feldman with Additional material by Jay Reiss, will play the Milwaukie High School Blackbox Theater, tonight, February 8-17, 2013, directed by Ron K. Palmblad with musical director John Quesenberry.

I should really start off by apologizing, dear readers, as I'm about to share with you a production that you cannot see. Alas it only showed for one weekend but for those like myself who were fortunate enough to catch Showtunes' latest production, "Falsettos" then you realize that, even though it was simply a concert version, it is now the production to which all future productions of the show must be compared.

Penny Fuller Joins McCarter Theatre Center's A DELICATE BALANCE

McCarter Theatre Center in Princeton, New Jersey (under the direction of Emily Mann, Artistic Director, and Timothy J. Shields, Managing Director) has announced that two-time Tony nominee Penny Fuller has replaced the previously announced Mary Beth Hurt in Edward Albee's A Delicate Balance. The production runs January 18 through February 17 (opening night is Friday, January 25). Support for the production is provided by the Blanche and Irving Laurie Foundation.

Amanda Flynn (Los Angeles company of WICKED and Las Vegas company of MAMMA MIA, joins the cast of THE PASSION OF ED WOOD in the role of Dolores Fuller, Ed Wood's long-suffering girlfriend. In WICKED she frequently went on in the part of Glinda and in MAMMA MIA as Sophie.
