Rehearsal begins today for BARBARA COOK: THEN AND NOW, a candid and intimate evening conceived by three-time Tony Award winner James Lapine and directed by ten-time Tony Award winner Tommy Tune.

The Concert is an evening of songs exploring those aspects of life in the city and more, featuring classic and contemporary musical theatre songs from composers such as Sondheim, William Finn, James Taylor, Jeanine Tesori, Jule Styne, Irving Berlin and more.

Eighteen year Broadway veteran Rema Webb, will bring her critically acclaimed one-woman show Children Will Listen to 42West for a one-night only engagement.  With original direction by Pittsburgh native and Tony Award winner Billy Porter (Kinky Boots) and presented by Rashad V. Chambers and Jacob Langfelder, Children Will Listen will be performed on Monday, April 25th at 7:30PM.

YELLOW SOUND LABEL will release the debut American solo album from Drama Desk Award-winning theatre star JOSE LLANA on Friday, May 13. Altitude - based on his acclaimed concert at the Lincoln Center American Songbook Series last year - celebrate his 20 years on Broadway with a savvy collection of songs he performed on and off the main stem, in addition to pop favorites. Due to critical acclaim and popular demand, Playwrights Horizons has announced an extension of their New York premiere production of FAMILIAR, a new play by Obie Award-winner Danai Gurira (Eclipsed now on Broadway, In the Continuum, The Convert, Michonne on AMC's 'The Walking Dead'). Directed by Rebecca Taichman (Stage Kiss, Milk Like Sugar at PH; The Oldest Boy; Marie Antoinette; Luck of the Irish; Orlando), the play is the fourth production of the theater company's 2015/2016 Season.

The Garden Theatre, located at 160 West Plant Street in historic Winter Garden, is pleased to announce its 2016-2017 Theatre Season, running from September 2016 - May 2017.  In addition to the six full-length theatrical presentations, the season will be dotted with weekend events such as music and dance concerts, as well as movies and holiday offerings. The American Theatre Wing announced today that the 2016 Jonathan Larson Grants recipients are Cesar Alvarez (book, music and lyrics), Nikko Benson (music and lyrics), Carson Kreitzer (book and lyrics), and Sam Salmond (book, music, and lyrics). Four prestigious grants of $10,000 each, totaling $40,000, will be presented on Monday, March 21, 2016 at a private event at the WNYC Greene Space. The event will feature special performances of the recipients' work.

One thing I can always count on when I go to a National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) Pops concert featuring music of the Great White Way - and perhaps beyond - is that the accomplished musicians and their exceptional conductor Steven Reineke will give it all the energy, vigor and verve it deserves. Lapine will return to helm the production.

The creative team behind the Tony Award-winning PARADE, the much adored musical based on the trial of Leo Frank, discusses how history can inspire art. Accompanied by an ensemble of six performers and nine musicians, "An Evening on PARADE" will be on Monday, March 7, 7 P.M., at the Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust.
