Red Bull Theater today announced that their Twelfth Season will continue with Ben Jonson's Every Man In His Humour, directed by Carson Elrod, on Monday December 28th at 7:30 PM, at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, between Bleecker and Hudson).  Featured in the cast will be Michael Countryman, Angel Desai, Carson Elrod, Korey Jackson, Claire Karpen, Craig Pattison, Matthew Saldivar, Jay O. London's leading rake wreaks hilarious havoc on high society in this - the original Restoration Comedy - with help from Sir Fopling Flutter, the first and greatest of the Restoration fops. An exclusive party with cast and special guests including Chukwudi Iwuji, Miriam Silverman, Matthew Rauch, and Laila Robins, among others, follows the benefit reading.

The Canadian Opera Company's production of Handel's SEMELE came to BAM's Howard Gilman Opera House complete with a marvelous 17-ton Ming Dynasty temple, transported from the town of Quhou, China. It was central to the production concept by Zhang Huan, a visual and performance artist who admits to ignorance of opera. While bringing in aspects of Buddhism along with elements of Chinese and Japanese culture doesn't do damage to this work—about the intermingling of mortals and gods—neither do they illuminate it.

This production will feature eight of Ives' one-act plays, and will be performed in repertory -- opening tonight, November 21, 2014 and running through January 31, 2015.
