JERUSALEM has extended its limited engagement on Broadway for an additional four weeks. The critically acclaimed, award-winning production will now run through August 21 at the Music Box Theatre (230 West 45th Street).

Theater Oobleck, in association with Chicago DCA Theater, presents the world premiere of There Is a Happiness That Morning Is. The play written by Mickle Maher closes at Chicago DCA's Storefront Theater at 66 E. Randolph Street, on May 22, 2011.

Tonight's edition of 'Theater Talk' will feature JERUSALEM's Tony-nominated star Mark Rylance and Tony-nominated playwright Jez Butterworth. 'Theater Talk' airs tonight at 12:30 AM on WNET-TV, Channel 13 and on CUNY TV on Saturday, May 14 at 8:30 PM, Sunday, May 15 at 12:30 PM and Monday, May 16 at 7:30 AM, 1:30 PM and 7:30 PM.

On Monday, May 2, the Broadway at Birdland series was proud to present William Blake in concert, celebrating his new CD. The recording, 'William Blake: Live From New York' (Cavern Records) was recorded live at Birdland last September, and features classic R&B and soul songs including 'Cry To Me' and 'I Want To Take You Higher.'

This past Monday night, host Jim Caruso and musical director Billy Stritch along with bassist Steve Doyle oversaw another edition of Cast Party, the wildly successful open mic night, which tours the country celebrating local talent. The event, made up of impromptu musical performances, has been running every Monday at Birdland in New York City for the past eight years.
