Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. BroadwayWorld has just learned that Adam Halpin (Broadway's GLORY DAYS, RENT Natl. Tour) will star in the new musical Daddy Long Legs, alongside his wife Megan McGinnis (Broadway's LES MISERABLES, SIDE SHOW, LITTLE WOMEN). Halpin, recently seen in another two-person musical THE LAST FIVE YEARS at Long Wharf Theatre, will assume the role on November 20th.

Excerpts from four new musicals (and one reimagined favorite!) will be brought to life by the 35-piece Chelsea Symphony and a cast of Broadway stars. In addition to the new works audiences will also get to enjoy an exclusive performance of the touring cast of The Bridges of Madison County, staring Elizabeth Stanley and Andrew Samonsky. "New Orchestrations," will take place at Merkin Concert Hall (129 W 67th St) on Monday, November 9, 2015 at 8PM. Tickets are $50 and are available online at mtf.nyc/neworchestrations.

Industry folks will get a chance to see the newest musical by the writing/producing duo Charlie Schulman & Michael Roberts (aka The Schulberts), The Goldstein Variations, directed by Daniel Kutner. The musical, which is slated to open Off-Broadway in October 2015, will be presented in concert Monday, June 8 at 7pm at the Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater at 5 West 63rd Street.

This week's spotlight is on Joel Waggoner and Eric Price, whose new original musical PRESTO CHANGE-O is commissioned by Barrington Stage and directed by Marc Bruni (Beautiful). It tells the story of a family of stage magicians who find themselves living under the same roof for the first time in years. In this song, Tina, who is the family's maid and maintains their ever-growing collection of artifacts from the history of magic, reveals her larger ambitions. This winter, Alexander Greenfield - Associate Director of the acclaimed Broadway production of Outside Mullingar and The City of Conversation at Lincoln Center - directs Libra Theater Company's production of Tom Diggs' new play KIND SOULS, performing January 16 - February 1 at Theatre 54. The cast includes Lindsey Kyler (The Seagull at New York Classical Theatre) and John Clarence Stewart (Choir Boy at Manhattan Theatre Club / The Alliance Theatre). Opening is slated for January 18.
