Madison Square Park Conservancy announces its thirty-sixth exhibition, Delirious Matter by artist Diana Al-Hadid. Six new sculptures will be installed across Madison Square Park's central Oval Lawn, peripheral lawns, and northern reflecting pool. Delirious Matter is the artist's first major public art project. It will be on view from May 14, 2018- September 3, 2018.

New World Symphony, America's Orchestral Academy (NWS), hosted its coveted 30th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, Feb. 10. Convergence-continuum presents the Cleveland premiere of THE OLDEST PROFESSION by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Paula Vogel. It's 1981, the year in which Ronald Reagan is about to the White House, and five hookers of advanced age (50's-70's) are faced with a diminishing clientele, increased competition for their niche market, and aching joints. The motley crew of ladies - who ply their trade on New Yorks' Upper West Side -- have been colleagues for decades. With wit, compassion, humor, and some pretty naughty songs, they struggle to find and learn new tricks as they fight to stay in "the Life" in their era of trickle-down economics.
Artistic Director Ray Jivoff unveiled Skylight Music Theatre's 2018-19 Season line-up of "firsts" -- five shows that have never been produced at Skylight. Undermain Theatre presents Whither Goest Thou America: A Festival of New Play Readings. Four weeks of staged readings of new American plays examining the current American Landscape. Each week of the series will focus on a different playwright and play with readings of the play by an ensemble cast and the playwright in attendance for discussion of the work every Saturday night. Audiences will have the opportunity to return each week of the series to experience a new work and author examining the American experience and asking the question, "How did we get here and where are we going?"
Pittsburgh Opera is proud to produce our second world premiere in two years. Ashes & Snow, composed by Douglas J. Cuomo and directed by Jonathan Moore, will premiere in the intimate environs of Pittsburgh Opera's historic headquarters in Pittsburgh's Strip District in February, 2018.
Presented by the Foundation of Estonian Arts and Letters, Esto-Atlantis Choral Concert will celebrate the Republic of Estonia's centennial. 100+ singers from around the world will gather to perform and honor the rich heritage of Estonian choral music on Lincoln Center's world-renowned stage. The program manifests four generations of one musical Estonian family: Rudolf Tobias (1973-1918), his daughter, Helen Tobias-Duesberg (1919-2010), granddaughter Maaja Duesberg Roos (b.1945), and great-granddaughter Leila Roos (b.1986). The former two will be present in the spirit of their compositions, the latter two conducting their music, with Maaja additionally performing at the piano and Leila singing in the choir. This Easter Sunday performance includes sacred choral selections by Tobias, and the American premiere of Reekviem by Tobias-Duesberg, as well as the ethereal Morning Star by her contemporary Arvo Part, who is the most performed living composer in the world. Enter the world of Anne Frank as told by Eva Schloss, her stepsister and childhood friend. When Germany annexed Austria in 1938, many Jewish families fled Austria to avoid persecution. Among the emigrants was Eva Geiringer, who with her mother, brother and father moved to Belgium and then to Holland, where one of her neighbors was Anne Frank. At the age of eight, Eva became friends with Anne, playing hopscotch and drinking lemonade together.

Underscore Theatre Company is pleased to present its 4th annual CHICAGO MUSICAL THEATRE FESTIVAL, created to showcase and support the growing field of musical theatre creators from Chicago and beyond. This year's Festival, featuring full productions of seven new musicals plus two staged readings, will play February 5 - 25, 2018 at the Greenhouse Theater Center, 2257 N. Lincoln Ave. in Chicago.
