Philly Improv Theater (PHIT) will have a busy March. For one week a month, the theater provides the best improv, sketch, and stand-up comedy in the city. This month's shows will run from March 23-29 at various times (see official schedule below).
Today the Wagner College Theater Department announced that the 53rd annual Stanley Drama Award has been given to playwright Sam Wallin of Vancouver, Washington for his mystery drama, 'Memory Fragments.'
The award ceremony is being held on Monday, April 6 at 6 p.m. at the historic Lambs Club, 3 W. 51st St. in Manhattan, America's first professional theatrical club.
Hobo Junction Presents an Original Live Action Musical Comedy
Four mobsters of Depression era 1930s have a particularly bad day at the office in Hobo Junction Company's latest incarnation of 'Bad Guys In Suits.' This one-hour musical comedy is replete with original song and dance numbers, witty banter and larger-than-life characters that epitomized screwball entertainment of that time.
The Philharmonic begins the Winter U.S. Tour 2009 with performances in Atlanta and West Palm Beach led by Lorin Maazel, who is making his final tour with the Orchestra as Music Director. The trip, which will take the musicians to 10 cities in the U.S. and Puerto Rico and will include 13 concerts, marks the first American tour under the aegis of Credit Suisse, the Global Sponsor of the New York Philharmonic.
