Stage 72/The Triad Changes Performance Schedule of ON KENTUCKY AVENUE to No Longer Conflict with Super Bowl, 2/2-16

In order to avoid conflict with the Super Bowl on Sunday evening, February 2, the producers of ON KENTUCKY AVENUE, the musical revue based loosely on fact and mostly fiction about the people and performers who took the stage and filled the tables at the majestic Club Harlem 'on Kentucky Avenue' in the north section of Atlantic City from the 1930s until the late 1980s, has changed its three performance schedule at STAGE 72/THE TRIAD, 158 West 72nd Street. The new schedule is as follows: Sunday, Feb, 2, at 3PM, Monday, Feb, 3 at 7pm and Sunday, Feb. 16, at 3 PM. The shows are being presented as part of Black History Month celebration.

National Museum of the United States Army Receives FedEx Grant for WRIGHT FLYER

The National Museum of the United States Army today announced a grant from FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) for $1 million in support of the only existing reproduction of Orville and Wilbur Wright's 1908 Wright Flyer, which will be a featured exhibit in The Army and Society Gallery of the National Museum of the United States Army.

Sundance Institute announced today the members of the six juries awarding prizes at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival, January 16-26 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah. Short Film Awards will be announced at a ceremony on January 21 at Park City's Jupiter Bowl. Feature film awards will be announced at a separate ceremony on January 25 in Park City, hosted by husband-and-wife duo Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally and livestreamed at www.sundance.org/live. Offerman headlines the film Nick Offerman: American Ham in the Festival's Premieres section. Mullally voices a character in the English-language version of Ernest and Celestine, which will have its world premiere in the Festival's new Sundance Kids section.

Off-Broadway's BILL W. AND DR. BOB Extends Through 3/30 at Soho Playhouse

BILL W. AND DR. BOB - the critically acclaimed play by Samuel Shem and Janet Surrey that Variety calls "deeply human, audience embracing, [and] a remarkable story" - will once again extend its Off-Broadway run at the Soho Playhouse (15 Vandam Street), now through March 30, 2014, it has been announced by Dr. Shem and Dr. Surrey, and General Manager Darren Lee Cole. BILL W. AND DR. began its run at the Soho Playhouse on July 8, 2013 and officially opened on July 16, 2013; the Off-Broadway play is currently in its sixth month of performances and recently celebrated its 150th performance on December 27, 2013.
