Totem Pole Playhouse continues to build its artistic momentum in its 60th Anniversary Season as it presents Neil Simon's hilarious 45 Seconds From Broadway, starring a stellar ensemble of some of the most accomplished actors ever to grace its stage.

Totem Pole Playhouse is proud to welcome back to the Playhouse, John Putch, to direct the hilarious Neil Simon comedy, 45 Seconds From Broadway, opening in June 2010. John Putch began his professional career at the age of five, performing in the Totem Pole Playhouse production of Showboat in 1966.

Thornton Wilder's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, 'Our Town,' a look at life, love, marriage and death in an early 20th century New England village, comes to Baltimore's Everyman Theatre.

Everyman Theatre is collaborating with Baltimore School for the Arts on Thornton Wilder's American classic Our Town.

Like a ?shot heard around the world,? You Say Tomatoes by Bernard Slade, author of the Broadway smash Same Time, Next Year, opens at the Totem Pole Playhouse on June 16. Playhouse favorite Paris Peet and newcomer Caren Anton star in this hilarious romantic comedy about Giles St. James, a recluse British mystery writer and Libby Daniels, a punchy New York film producer. Giles' traditional British way of life is upended when Libby discovers his hidden home, aspiring to televise the mystery novels he wrote under a pen name. ?What I love about this play, apart fro the wonderful humor, is that the love story takes place between two folks who are not 20 some things-but more mature folks at a different point in their lives,? says Artistic Director, Ray Ficca. Long time friend of Ficca?s and former Producing Artistic Director, Carl Schurr, was recruited to direct the comedy. ?Bernard Slade has given new meaning to the expression: 'Opposites attract' and not only do they attract in You Say Tomatoes, they explode into a light-hearted and joyous evening of theatre,? says Schurr. Anton Chekhov's modern classic The Cherry Orchard opens on March 18 and runs through April 26. Directed by Everyman Artistic Director Vincent M. Lancisi and translated by Michael Frayn, the production features several members of Everyman's Resident Company: Megan Anderson, Deborah Hazlett, Rosemary Knower, Wil Love, Carl Schurr, and Stan Weiman. After 23 years of guiding Totem Pole Playhouse into national prominence as a premiere professional summer theatre, Carl Schurr and Wil Love are stepping down at the end of the 2008 season. As Producing Artistic Director and Associate Artistic Director, respectively, this theatrical duo has produced, directed and acted in well over one hundred productions since assuming their current positions in 1985. Ray Ficca, long time friend of Schurr and Love and a resident company member at the Playhouse will become the artistic director in September of this year.

Bruce R. Nelson Excels at the Everyman Theatre:Well, it's happened three times. Plays that I saw on Broadway that were critically acclaimed but yet I didn't really enjoy them. Then I saw them at the intimate Everyman Theatre and loved them. It started with Proof, then Doubt, and now I Am My Own Wife. In the latter, I was stunned at the wonderful performance by Jefferson Mays (an associate artist at Center Stage), yet I didn't grasp the show as much as I did after seeing the cast at the Everyman. And who makes up the cast? The incomparable Bruce R. Nelson in a tour de force performance that you will remember forever!
