Over 40 Shows Set for Off Broadway Alliance's 20at20 Celebration, Kicking Off Today

The Off Broadway Alliance has announced that it will again sponsor 20at20, the bi-annual celebration of Off Broadway. The popular promotion, which begins January 20th and continues through February 8th, makes $20 tickets available for 41 Off Broadway plays and musicals twenty minutes prior to curtain. Now in its 9th year, 20at20 has become one of New York's most eagerly-anticipated promotions for people who want to see exciting shows at amazing prices.

Marcus Center for the Performing Arts to Present LOVE, LOSS AND WHAT I WORE, 3/13-15

Proving that a great show is always in fashion, Love, Loss and What I Wore is a play written by Nora and Delia Ephron based on the 1995 book of the same name by Ilene Beckerman. With its intimate collection of monologues, the show uses clothing and accessories and the memories they trigger to tell funny and poignant stories that all women can relate to. Directed by Karen Carpenter, the actresses sit side-by-side with script in-hand, deftly guiding the audience through an evening if humor, nostalgia and, of course, fashion.

MAN OF LA MANCHA, VEILS, BUTLER and More Set for Barrington Stage's 2015 Season

At a press conference held at Barrington Stage Company's Boyd-Quinson Mainstage, Artistic Director Julianne Boyd announced the theatre's 2015 season of musicals and plays that will take place in Downtown Pittsfield in the Boyd-Quinson Mainstage, St. Germain Stage and Youth Theatre venues.

Charlotte Cohn to Star in Colony Theatre's SIMPLY COMPLICATED, 1/24-25

What do you get when you cross a Danish Orthodox Jew and a simple Israeli girl from a kibbutz? You get Charlotte Cohn, who at nineteen was already a Commander in the Israeli Army, but had her sights set on a different path. Karen Carpenter Directs HANDLE WITH CARE at the Colony Theatre, Now thru 12/14

The Colony Theatre will present the third production of its historic 40thAnniversary season, the West Coast Premiere of HANDLE WITH CARE by Jason Odell Williams, directed by Karen Carpenter. HANDLE WITH CARE will preview tonight, November 5; Thursday, November 6; and Friday, November 7 at 8:00pm. It will open on Saturday, November 8 at 8:00pm and continue through Sunday, December 14, with no performances Thanksgiving week.

OLD JEWS TELLING JOKES Plays Broward Stage Door Theatre, Beginning Tonight

When Eric Spiegelman and his partner Tim Williams asked film and television producer Sam Hoffman if he had any ideas for an internet website, he pitched the concept of Old Jews Telling Jokes. Millions of views, shares, and guffaws later, Hoffman - in collaboration with Peter Gethers and Daniel Okrent, brought his Old Jews to Off-Broadway for an extremely successful run at the Westside Theatre.
