Over the past 29 years, she's had over 70,000 pricks (of the medical kind), and she'd like to set the record straight: she's not bankrupting the NHS, and she Can Eat Cake. From her own experience and with the support of JDRF, the world's leading type 1 diabetes research charity, she aims to clear up some of the common misconceptions, misunderstandings and misdiagnoses' around the disorder. Using spoken word, poetry, and an original soundscape, Jade tells her story about families, learning to care for each other better, and the ups and downs of dealing with a lot of pricks.

Hannah Hauer-King directs a brand new production with Nancy Sullivan as Leah. Surgent Theatre today announces their production of Steven Dietz's Lonely Planet to open at Trafalgar Studio 2 in the run up to London's iconic Pride parade. The play originally premiered in the US at the Northlight Theatre, Illinois in 1993 and this production made its UK premiere at the Tabard Theatre last year. Ian Brown returns to direct Alexander McMorran (Jody) and Aaron Vodovoz (Carl) for this strictly limited run; opening on 14 June, with previews from 12 June and running until 7 July.
London Classic Theatre today announces the full company for their UK tour of Charlotte Keatley's My Mother Said I Never Should. Artistic Director of LCT, Michael Cabot, directs Felicity Houlbrooke (Rosie Metcalfe), Fiz Marcus (Doris Partington), Kathryn Ritchie (Jackie Metcalfe) and Connie Walker (Margaret Bradley).
