The current year-long celebrations of legendary rock band Queen's 40th anniversary have seen a massively elevated profile for the co-creators of hit show We Will Rock You, and the celebrations continue with the launch next week of the lavish memorabilia book , '40 Years of Queen' (Carlton Books).

The current year-long celebrations of legendary rock band Queen's 40th anniversary have seen a massively elevated profile for the co-creators of hit show We Will Rock You, and the celebrations continue with the launch next week of the lavish memorabilia book , '40 Years of Queen' (Carlton Books).

The musical theater classic, The Wiz, the iconic African-American re-telling of The Wizard Of Oz made famous by Motown Productions' cult movie starring Diana Ross as Dorothy, Michael Jackson as The Scarecrow and Richard Pryor as The Wiz, will be revived in a new production that will tour Birmingham and Leeds this summer. In Birmingham, the production will The New Alexandria Theatre from Friday, 10 Jun 2011 through Saturday 18 Jun 2011. From there, the production will play Leeds at the West Yorkshire Playhouse from June 24 through July 16.

Along with previously announced Michael Ball, also starring in the U.K. Tour of Hairspray will be Laurie Scarth, Liam Doyle, and Danny Bayne. The tour begins at the Cardriff Millenium Centre and will begin March 30th, immediately following its West End closing. The tour is scheduled to run through January 2011 with stops in Glasgow, Southampton, Wolverhampton, Leeds, Manchester, Plymouth, Liverpool, Sunderland, Milton Keynes, Oxford, Birmingham, Bradford and Edinburgh. Nominated by the New York Innovative Theatre Awards for Outstanding Full-Length Script, 'Angel Eaters' is the first play in Adams' dark and fascinating trilogy which debuted at the Flux Theatre Company in New York.
