ABC announced its lineup of exceptional talent to be seen at the opening of the Smithsonian's new National Museum of African American History and Culture. Stars will include Mary J. Blige, Jamie Foxx, Dave Grohl with Trouble Funk, Usher, Christina Aguilera, Common, NeYo, Patti Austin, The Alvin Ailey Dancers, Gary Clark Jr., Gladys Knight and The Howard Gospel Choir.

Carnegie Hall opens its 2016-2017 season on Thursday, October 6 at 7:00 p.m. with a gala concert featuring exquisite dance music performed by the dynamic Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela and Music Director Gustavo Dudamel. The program features Ravel's La valse and Stravinsky's Le sacre du printemps as well as selected dances from around the world.

Single-ticket sales for the Santa Barbara Symphony's highly anticipated 2016-17 season will begin Thursday, September 15. The orchestra will present a total of nine programs over the course of its 64th season, which opens October 15 with a performance of Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 featuring singers from throughout the region. All performances will take place at the Granada Theatre, 1214 State Street in Santa Barbara. Tickets can be purchased through the Granada box office, (805) 899-2222.
Los Angeles Master Chorale Receives Major Grant from The James Irvine Foundation

The Los Angeles Master Chorale announced today that The James Irvine Foundation has awarded a $450,000 Exploring Engagement Fund grant to support the Chorale's launch of Big Sing Californiathat will culminate in June 2018. This two-year grant will support the Chorale's ongoing efforts to utilize state-of-the-art live-streaming technology to enable thousands of Californians to connect with others throughout the state for a shared singing experience, led by its Swan Family Artist-in-Residence and Grammy award-winning composer/conductor Eric Whitacre.
