Arden Theatre Announces Residency with GoKash OnSTAGE

Arden Theatre Company announces a season-long residency with GoKash OnSTAGE. During the 2017/18 30th Anniversary Season, the Arden will house two GoKash OnSTAGE productions - a September production in the Arcadia Theatre, and a Spring production in the new Selma M. and Robert J. Horan Studio Theatre.

Cast Complete for New Temptations Musical AIN'T TOO PROUD at Berkeley Rep

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the full casting and creative team for the world premiere of AIN'T TOO PROUD-THE TEMPTATIONS MUSICAL. The musical stage production will be directed by Tony Award winner Des McAnuff. Berkeley Rep presents the show by special arrangement with Ira Pittelman and Tom Hulce (American Idiot, Spring Awakening).

Brooklyn's Ryan Repertory Tours SINGING FOR THE BOYS

Brooklyn based Ryan Repertory Company, now in its 45th season, and Family Music Centers are proud to present Singing For The Boys. In a "performance that never was but should have been" Al Jolson, Judy Garland and Deanna Durbin come together in 1943 at the Palace Theatre in New York City for a one-night benefit performance to support the overseas war effort and to entertain the troops. Through their signature hit songs and popular songs of the period the audience is taken on a personal journey that reveals what made these three performers truly legendary and what made them so very human, both onstage and backstage. A must see theatrical and musical experience!!!  

Casting, Dates Set for Alan Ayckbourn's New Play THE DIVIDE at The Old Vic

The Old Vic today gives a sneak preview of what's to come in 2018 at The Old Vic during its bicentenary. The Divide, a new play by Alan Ayckbourn, will open at The Old Vic on 3 February 2018 with previews from 30 January 2018, following its premiere at the Edinburgh International Festival this summer.

His letters to seventeen-year-old Muriel contain quotes from Khayam and Swinburne.

Vermont Premiere of MIRACLE ON SOUTH DIVISION STREET Opens at Saint Michael's Playhouse

Saint Michael's Playhouse Producing Artistic Director Chuck Tobin today announced the July 5 opening of the Vermont Premiere of Tom Duzick's heartwarming Off-Broadway comedy Miracle on South Division Street, directed by Kenneth Kimmins. Performances are Wednesday – Saturday evenings 7/5 – 7/8, Today – Saturday 7/11 – 7/15 (8pm curtain), and Saturday matinees 7/8 and 7/15 (2pm curtain).

Gloucester Stage Company continues its 38th season of professional theater on Cape Ann with N. Richard Nash's moving American classic The Rainmaker from July 14 through August 5 at 267 East Main Street, Gloucester, MA. Set in the time of a paralyzing drought in Depression-era America, The Rainmaker tells the story of a pivotal hot summer day in the life of spinsterish Lizzie Curry, whose father and two brothers are worried as much about her marriage prospects as they are about their dying cattle. Enter Starbuck, the consummate con man, who promises to solve all their problems, for a fee. Directed by Gloucester Stage Artistic Director Robert Walsh, The Rainmaker cast features Brian Homer as Starbuck; Jessica Bates as Lizzie Curry; David DeBeck as H.C. Curry, the patriarch of the Curry family; Joe Short and Sean McCoy as the Curry brothers; Dave Rich as File and longtime Gordon College Professor of Theater Arts Norm Jones as Sheriff Thomas. N. Richard Nash's most celebrated play, The Rainmaker, appeared in all three mediums; on Broadway in 1954, as a motion picture starring Katharine Hepburn in 1956, and as a television production in 1982. A musical version of The Rainmaker, entitled 110 Degrees in the Shade, debuted on Broadway in 1963.

The nationally regarded Fulton Theatre will present the Pennsylvania Premiere of the Tony Award-winning musical Disney's Newsies, June 6 through July 23. The inspirational Disney's Newsies, based on the real-life Newsboys strike of 1899 and the 1992 film, was the toast of Broadway for more than two years.

Algonquin Theater Productions Presents THE BET as Part of Midtown International Theatre Festival

Algonquin Theater Productions, in association with What If Productions is proud to present The Bet, a new musical by Tony Sportiello and David Wolfson, as part of this year's Midtown International Theatre Festival. The two person musical is directed by Tom Herman, and features the talents of Dana Aber and Spencer Plachy. Performances are Wednesday, July 26th at 6pm, Friday, July 28th at 7:15pm and Saturday, July 29th at 4pm. The show is slated to run Off Broadway in the fall of 2017.
