The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) is pleased to announce its new Board Members, selected from NAMT's membership of over 140 musical theatre producing organizations from around the world.
Following a series of tragic losses to the acting world this week, the NYC memorial service for Jorge E. Maldonado will take place on Jan. 25 from 4:30 to 6:00 PM at 37 Arts, 450 West 37th St (at Tenth Ave) and to celebrate his life, a party will follow at Rosie O'Grady's, second floor, beginning at 6:30 PM. Rosie O'Grady's is located at 149 W. 46th St. (between Broadway & Sixth Avenue). The party will last into the evening, and friends are invited to come by whenever they can, and bring stories, memories and pictures.
Paper Mill Playhouse announces its mainstage production of The Miracle Worker. The Miracle Worker will run at the Millburn theatre from January 23, 2008 through February 24, 2008. There are three added student matinee performances on February 6, 13 and 14 at 11AM. The Miracle Worker is supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts.

Actors' Equity Association (Equity) and the Theatre Alliance of Greater Philadelphia (Theatre Alliance) announced today that Equity will sponsor the Excellence in Theatre Education and Community Services Award at the upcoming Barrymore Awards for Excellence in Theatre, held on Monday, October 1, 2007. This is the first time Equity, the Union which represents more than 46,000 professional stage actors and stage managers nationwide, will participate in an official capacity at the awards ceremony.
