Actor Jorge Maldonado's Memorial Service Held Tomorrow

Following a series of tragic losses to the acting world this week, the NYC memorial service for  Jorge E. Maldonado will take place on Jan. 25 from 4:30 to 6:00 PM at 37 Arts, 450 West 37th St (at Tenth Ave) and to celebrate his life, a party will follow at Rosie O'Grady's, second floor, beginning at 6:30 PM. Rosie O'Grady's is located at 149 W. 46th St. (between Broadway & Sixth Avenue). The party will last into the evening, and friends are invited to come by whenever they can, and bring stories, memories and pictures.

Malonado died of an aneurysm on Wednesday December 19 at his home. He was 30.

A singer and dancer as well as an actor, Mr. Maldonado appeared in plays and in musicals in New York City, including the off-Broadway production Latin Heat in 2003. He played Danny in Grease at the Lenape Regional Performing Arts Center in Marlton in 2005, and this fall he was Pedro in Man of La Mancha at the Walnut Street Theatre. He and his partner of three years, Steve Pacek, met in 2003 when they were cast in Stephen Sondheim's Pacific Overtures at the Arden Theatre in Philadelphia.
