Maurer Productions Onstage presents the hit musical "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" at Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre Fridays, May 13 and 20 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturdays, May 14 and 21 at 7:30 p.m.; and Sundays, May 15 and 22 at 2 p.m.

Music icons Neil Diamond, Tom Waits, Dr. John and Alice Cooper, as well as Broadway veteran Darlene Love, will be the new inductees to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for 2011. They will be honored at a ceremony at Manhattan's Waldorf-Astoria on Monday, March 14. Leon Russell will also be awarded for musical excellence. Nonperformer honors will go to Specialty label's Art Rupe and Elektra Records founder, Jac Holzman.

Set in the mid 1970s, Bad Habits is about two competing therapy-based facilities that treat people for their bad habits. In Act I, nurses Benson and Hedges oversee a medical facility in which the suppression of every possible pleasure is the prescription. Act II takes us to a marital retreat that conversely encourages patients to indulge their every whim as a form of therapy.

The Gala honored stage and screen star Julianne Moore with the Ally for Equality Award, which was presented to her by Mark Ruffalo. The cast of Broadway's upcoming Priscilla, Queen of the Desert provided the evening's entertainment.

The George Foster Peabody Awards' 70th annual search for excellence in electronic media has begun. More than 100,000 call for entries alerts have been mailed worldwide, supplemented by advertising in media-industry publications. Original broadcast, cablecast and webcast programs presented in the calendar year 2010 are eligible. The entry deadline is Friday, Jan. 14. Entrants may apply online at www.peabody.uga.edu.
