The Old Globe's 2015 Summer Shakespeare Intensive Comes to a Close with LOVE'S LABOR'S LOST and THE TEMPEST

Each year, a select group of talented high school students participate in the Summer Shakespeare Intensive. This four-week program, which guides students through workshops and rehearsals, will culminate with a public performance of two, one-hour versions of Shakespeare's plays, Love's Labor's Lost, directed by Ray Chambers, and The Tempest, directed by Vivia Font, on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center, on Monday, August 10 at 7:00 p.m.

OSF's Allen Elizabethan Theatre Opens Today

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival opens its outdoor theatre the weekend of June 13-15 with two Shakespeare productions, Richard III, directed by James Bundy, and The Two Gentlemen of Verona, directed by Sarah Rasmussen. Also opening is Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's musical Into the Woods, directed by Amanda Dehnert. The shows will close the weekend of October 10-12.

The Old Globe presents INHERIT THE WIND, directed by Adrian Noble. In the play, two powerhouse lawyers face off in a small town with the eyes of an entire nation upon them when a schoolteacher is arrested for teaching Charles Darwin's theories of evolution. When the issue goes to trial, the two attorneys must passionately confront questions of faith and science in a heated courtroom. San Diego REP Announces TORTILLA CURTAIN Cast

San Diego REPertory Theatre (San Diego REP) today announced the sixth and final production of the company's 36th season, the world premiere of "Tortilla Curtain." San Diego REP Artistic Director Sam Woodhouse will direct the piece adapted by Matthew Spangler from the best-selling novel by T.C. Boyle.
