The Civilians designates December 1 as 'A Celebration of Brooklyn Artists and Writers' at benefit performance of IN THE FOOTPRINT

The Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15 St.) will host a script-signing with playwright Will Eno - author of the new play MIDDLETOWN, which concludes its critically-acclaimed world-premiere engagement at the Vineyard on December 5 - at the theatre beginning at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday, December 4 between the matinee and evening performances of the play, it has been announced by Douglas Aibel, artistic director of the Vineyard.

THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS will play its final performance on Broadway on Sunday, December 12. The production, which opened October 31 at the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45th Street), will have played 49 performances and 29 previews. Previews began on October 7.

La Jolla Playhouse presents the Pulitzer Prize-winning play Ruined, by Lynn Nottage (Intimate Apparel, Crumbs from the Table of Joy), directed by South Africa native Liesl Tommy, in the Mandell Weiss Theatre November 16 - December 19 (media night: Sunday, November 21 at 7:00 pm). Ruined is a co-production with Berkeley Repertory Theatre and the Huntington Theatre Company.

The cast and crew of THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS welcomed yet another star visitor this week, stage and screen vet James Earl Jones, on Sunday, November 21, 2010. Denzel Washington and Whoopi Goldberg are among the shows additional fans. Jones is in town starring on Broadway in DRIVING MISS DAISY alongside Vanessa Redgrave. Flashpoint Theatre Company opens its 2010-2011 season with the premiere of Run, Mourner, Run by Tarell Alvin McCraney on October 27-November 20 at Second Stage at the Adrienne (2030 Sansom Street). Directed by Matt Pfeiffer, the ensemble cast includes Jake Blouch, Keith Conallen, Amanda Grove, Melanye Finister, Gerard Joseph, Aime Kelly, Jon Mulhearn and Brian McCann.

Tickets to BENGAL TIGER AT THE BAGHDAD ZOO - the new American play by Rajiv Joseph and starring Robin Williams in his Broadway acting debut - will go on-sale to the general public starting Wednesday, November 17.
