A revised version of Joe Pintauro's 1991 play RAFT OF THE MEDUSA, being produced Off-Broadway this fall by the Barefoot Theatre Company, will kick off the 9-week Stripped Festival with performances beginning tonight through October 22 at Cherry Lane Studio Theatre (38 Commerce St.) in Greenwich Village.

Nicky Silver's play THE LYONS is getting its world-premiere this fall with an official opening night October 11 at Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15 St.), it has been announced by Vineyard Theatre artistic director Douglas Aibel and co-artistic director Sarah Stern. Nicholas Martin and Phylicia Rashad have been added to the roster of directors helming productions during Westport Country Playhouse's 2012 season, playing May through November.

Hunter. ON A CLEAR DAY YOU CAN SEE FOREVER opens Sunday, December 11, 2011 at the St. James Theatre, 246 W. 44th Street; previews begin Saturday, November 12.

Signature Theatre Company (Founding Artistic Director James Houghton; Executive Director Erika Mallin), announced today seven productions for its inaugural 2012 season at Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street near 10th Avenue), the company's new Frank Gehry-designed permanent home opening in February 2012.
