Plague Vendor have released “All Of The Above,” the second taste from their upcoming new album By Night. The brooding track is an internal monologue (“Am I just losing my mind? Am I just passing the time? Am I just falling in love? Vanderslice dedicated the past few years working in his renowned Bay Area studio Tiny Telephone, where artists like Death Cab For Cutie, Sleater-Kinney, and Spoon have recorded, but then returned to songwriting, pouring out an emotional series of songs about his despair over his mother's death, his complicated relationship with drugs, and his nostalgia for a pre-tech boom San Francisco. Up-and-coming Los Angeles rock band Starcrawler, fronted by the enigmatic nineteen-year-old frontwoman Arrow de Wilde, release a cover of The Ramones' 1989 single “Pet Sematary” for the new Paramount Pictures film, based on Stephen King's iconic novel, in theaters April 5, 2019. Featured in the movie's closing credits, the band's cover of “Pet Sematary” was recorded by Mark Rankin (Queens of the Stone Age, Adele, Bloc Party, Weezer) and mixed by John Congleton (St. Vincent, Sharon Van Etten), and is a wild and contemporary run on the original track.
