Sheila Callaghan's EVERYTHING YOU TOUCH Begins 1/28 at Rattlestick

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, True Love Productions and The Theatre @ Boston Court have announced that the New York Premiere of Everything You Touch, written by Sheila Callaghan and directed by Jessica Kubzansky, will begin previews Wednesday, January 28 at 8pm at the Cherry Lane Theatre, 38 Commerce Street. The official opening night is set for Thursday, February 12 at 7pm. Everything You Touch is scheduled to run through Sunday, March 29, 2015.

Art Institute of Chicago Displays Paintings From Viceregal South America, Thru 2/21

The Art Institute of Chicago is pleased to announce an exciting long-term installation that showcases, for the first time in the museum's history, paintings from 17th through 19th century South America, when much of the continent was under Spanish rule. A Voyage to South America: Andean Art in the Spanish Empire is on display through Feb. 21, 2016, in the second-floor paintings and sculpture galleries of the museum.

COLLEGIATE THEATRICS: Belmont University's Lauren Knoop

Lauren Knoop, a Nashville native, is currently a senior at Belmont University, pursuing her BFA degree in theatre performance in the Department of Theatre and Dance at the university that has helped to transform the term "academic theater" into something far more substantial than it once may have been considered. A 2013 First Night Most Promising Actor, Lauren has her eyes set squarely on her prize: May 2015 graduation.

MAN OF LA MANCHA, VEILS, BUTLER and More Set for Barrington Stage's 2015 Season

At a press conference held at Barrington Stage Company's Boyd-Quinson Mainstage, Artistic Director Julianne Boyd announced the theatre's 2015 season of musicals and plays that will take place in Downtown Pittsfield in the Boyd-Quinson Mainstage, St. Germain Stage and Youth Theatre venues.

Terrence McNally's MOTHERS & SONS Begins 2/6 at Philadelphia Theatre Company

Philadelphia Theatre Company's continues its 40th Anniversary season with the Tony Award-nominated play Mothers and Sons by Terrence McNally February 6-March 8. Directed by Wendy Goldberg, the cast features Hugh Kennedy, Emmy Award-winning actress Michael Learned, James Lloyd Reynolds, and Patrick Gibbons and Jacob D. Wilner in alternating performances.

Utah Opera to Present THE PEARL FISHERS in January

Utah Opera travels to the exotic shores of India for its premiere of Georges Bizet's 'The Pearl Fishers,' the second production of the 2014/15 season, which features conductor Carlos Izcaray and director Kristine McIntyre. The performances are January 17, 19, 21 and 23 at the Janet Quinney Lawson Capitol Theatre at 7:30 p.m., with a matinee performance on Sunday, January 25, at 2 p.m.

Hal Linden to Lead The Old Globe's THE TWENTY-SEVENTH MAN; Cast & Creative Team Announced!

The Old Globe today announced Tony and Emmy Award winner Hal Linden ('Barney Miller,' The Rothschilds) will star in the West Coast Premiere of The Twenty-seventh Man by award-winning novelist Nathan Englander, directed by Globe Artistic Director Barry Edelstein. The cast also features Ron Orbach, Robert Dorfman, Eli Gelb, James Shanklin, and Lowell Byers. The Twenty-seventh Man will run February 14 through March 15 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run February 14-18. Opening night is Thursday, February 19 at 8:00 p.m. Single tickets go on sale Friday, January 16. Breaking News: Renée Fleming Will Make Broadway Debut in Kathleen Marshall-Helmed LIVING ON LOVE; Opens in April 2015!

Producers Scott Landis and Philip Morgaman have confirmed that 4-time Grammy Award winner Renee Fleming will make her Broadway debut this spring in the new comedy Living on Love by two-time Tony Award winner Joe DiPietro, based on the play Peccadillo by Garson Kanin, directed by three-time Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall. The production begins performances on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 and will open on Monday, April 20, 2015 at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street). Living on Love will play an 18-week engagement through Sunday, August 2, 2015.Tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday, December 29, 2014.

PTC to Stage World Premiere of ALABAMA STORY

Pioneer Theatre Company presents the world premiere of Alabama Story by Kenneth Jones, January 9 - 24, 2015. The play was workshopped in Pioneer Theatre Company's new play reading series, Play-by-Play, last season. The play-a finalist in the 2014 National Playwrights Conference-coincides with the 50th anniversaries of the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act.
