PLAYHOUSE CREATURES THEATRE has announced that it will present HUNTER GATHERERS, a black comedy about an annual dinner party that blurs the line between civilized and primal man, March 3 - March 28 at the Duo Theatre, 62 East 4th St. 2nd floor. Written by Peter Sinn Nachtrieb and directed by Eric Tucker (Wall Street Journal's 2014 Director of the year), The production will have its official opening on Saturday, March 7th at 8:00PM.

On March 8, 2015 Young Artists of America at Strathmore presents West Side Story + Romeo et Juliette at the Music Center at Strathmore.Young Artists of America at Strathmore will collaborate with Strathmore education partner, the Maryland Classic Youth Orchestras, for this semi-staged performance, directed by Rick Davis (George Mason University).

Following a critically acclaimed run in Stratford in 2013, the Royal Shakespeare Company and English Touring Theatre's production of Thomas Middleton's A Mad World My Masters returns in 2015 for an eight venue national tour to Wolverhampton Grand Theatre (26 - 28 February), Grand Theatre Blackpool (5 - 7 March), Theatre Royal Brighton (10 - 14 March), Malvern Theatres (24 - 28 March), Hall for Cornwall (31 March - 4 April), Theatre Royal Bath (7 - 11 April), Darlington Civic Theatre (14 - 18 April), and Cambridge Arts Theatre (21 - 25 April), before a limited run at the Barbican (29 April - 9 May).

OTHELLO kicks off The Porters' ninth season, returning Artistic Director Charles Pasternak to the boards for The Porters for the first time since his award-nominated performance playing King Henry V just one year ago. Since then he has worked with The Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles in The Merchant of Venice, The Shakespeare Festival of St. Louis in Henry IV and Henry V, Indiana Repertory Theatre in The Two Gentlemen of Verona, and The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey in Much Ado About Nothing.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, True Love Productions and The Theatre @ Boston Court have announced that the New York Premiere of Everything You Touch, written by Sheila Callaghan and directed by Jessica Kubzansky, will begin previews tonight, January 28 at 8pm at the Cherry Lane Theatre, 38 Commerce Street. The official opening night is set for Thursday, February 12 at 7pm. Everything You Touch is scheduled to run through Sunday, March 29, 2015.

The Old Globe welcomes Tony and Emmy Award winner Hal Linden ('Barney Miller,' The Rothschilds) to star in the West Coast Premiere of The Twenty-seventh Man by award-winning novelist Nathan Englander, directed by Globe Artistic Director Barry Edelstein. The cast also features Ron Orbach, Robert Dorfman, Eli Gelb, James Shanklin, andLowell Byers. Beecham directs Kate Adams (Helene), Noa Bodner (Esther), Pascale Burgess (Elzvieta), Imogen Daines (Etalina),Emma Darlow (Liesl), Holly De Jong (Schmidt), James Duke (Mengele / Kapo / Cellist / Paul), Amanda Hadingue (Alma Rose), Melanie Heslop(Marianne), Rebecca Jenkins (Varya), Kate Lynn-Evans (Mandel), Maeve O'Sullivan (Greta / Olga), Sian Phillips (Fania), Danny Scheinmann (Schmuel / Captain Heinz / Second Chess Player / First Trooper), Augustina Seymour (Paulette/ Music Captain), Christopher Staines (Commandant Kramer / 1st Chess Player / SS Guard / Kapo / Pianist) and Alexia Traverse-Healy (Mala / Tchaikowska). The play's afoot! Sherlock Holmes battles one of his greatest mysteries to date at Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater in Ken Ludwig's Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery, a world-premiere adaptation from Tony Award-winning playwright Ludwig (Broadway's Lend Me a Tenor). Adapted from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's beloved The Hound of the Baskervilles, this fast-paced comedic tale of murder, intrigue and a wild hound is directed by Amanda Dehnert (Arena Stage's The Fantasticks) as part of Arena Stage's 65th anniversary season. A co-production with McCarter Theatre Center, Ken Ludwig's Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery runs tonight, January 16, through February 22, 2015 in the Kreeger Theater.
