The Richmond Symphony Presents Handel's MESSIAH Tonight

For generations, RVA has been delighted by the holiday classic Handel's Messiah. Join the Richmond Symphony and Richmond Symphony Chorus, tonight, December 13 at 7:30pm at the Carpenter Theatre at Richmond CenterStage for this timeless favorite. The concert will be led by Associate Conductor, Keitaro Harada.

KUSC and LA Master Chorale Extend Broadcast Partnership

The Los Angeles Master Chorale - the renowned resident choir of Walt Disney Concert Hall led by Artistic Director Grant Gershon - and KUSC (91.5 FM) - the largest and most listened to classical public radio station in the country - have announced they are extending their broadcast partnership for two seasons, with 14 of the acclaimed choir's Disney Hall concerts from the 2012|13, 2013|14 and 2014|15 seasons airing in two seven-week series, entitled 'KUSC's SoCal Sunday Night: The LA Master Chorale in Concert.' The first series of seven Sunday evening broadcasts, hosted by KUSC's Alan Chapman, launches December 21, 2014, and runs through February 1, 2015. The second series runs December 2015 - January 2016. The two-hour weekly radio program, which runs from 7-9 PM, showcases the choir's versatility and wide-ranging repertoire. KUSC broadcasts of the Los Angeles Master Chorale are supported, in part, by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Los Angeles County Arts Commission.

Celtic Thunder Takes First Symphony Tour to Heinz Hall Tonight

Celtic singing sensation Celtic Thunder takes the Heinz Hall stage tonight, December 9 for their first symphony tour. The group will perform with the full Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra during this one-night-only holiday performance.

Brevard Music Center Opens 2015 Season with Pianist Andre Watts in All-Beethoven Program, 6/20

The Brevard Music Center (BMC) will open its 2015 season on Saturday, June 20, with superstar pianist André Watts and BMC Principal Guest Conductor JoAnn Falletta in an all-Beethoven program. Watts burst upon the music world at the age of 16 when Leonard Bernstein chose him to make his debut with the New York Philharmonic. He has since enjoyed a celebrated 50 year career that has taken him across the globe to concertize with major orchestras and perform in the world's musical capitals. Watts has played before European royalty and international heads of government and has received the Avery Fisher Prize, the National Medal of Arts, and was the youngest person ever to receive an Honorary Doctorate from Yale University. André Watts will perform Beethoven's Fourth Piano Concerto with Maestra Falletta and the Brevard Music Center Orchestra on a program to include Leonore Overture No. 3 and the Seventh Symphony. The season concludes on Sunday, August 2, as Maestro Lockhart and the BMCO perform Mahler's powerful Symphony No. 1 – “The Titan.”

Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Announces 70th Anniversary Season - Beethoven's Symphony No. 9, Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 5 and More!

Music Director Robert Spano and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO) and Chorus will open the 2014-15 season on November 13, 2014, at 8:00 p.m.An additional performance will take place November 15, 2014, at 7:30 p.m. These concerts will mark the beginning of the Orchestra's 70th season and the 14th year of artistic partnership between Mr. Spano and Principal Guest Conductor Donald Runnicles. The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Presents BRAHMS's REQUIEM This Weekend

The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra presents Brahms's Requiem this weekend, October 10-12, 2014 at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts. The San Francisco Girls Chorus to Perform Their Annual Holiday Concert at Davies Symphony Hall, 12/8
