Chorale Presents DECK THE HALL- the Best Way to Celebrate Christmas!

The Colorado Springs Chorale and special guests Chamber Orchestra of the Springs celebrate the Christmas season with the 30th annual Deck the Hall concert at the Pikes Peak Center on Today, December 9 at 7:30 P.M. Vibrant voices, warm strings and brilliant brass will fill the hall with merry melodies and holiday harmonies, blending the warmth of the past with hope for the future. 

Jason Tramm to Conduct Morris Choral Society In 'Candles And Carrols'

Jason C. Tramm will conduct the Morris Choral Society as it opens its 2016-17 season with a holiday themed concert at the Bickford Theater, Morristown, New Jersey on December 10 and 11.th Candles and Carrols will feature works by Caldwell and Ivory, Leavitt, Praetorius, Respighi and Whitacre celebrating over three centuries of inspiring and beloved holiday choral music, essentially chronicling the existence of the Morristown settlement dating back to 1715.

38th Annual DON WE NOW Choral Concert

 Windy City Gay Chorus and Windy City Treble Quire, under the direction of new Artistic Director, Dr. Eric Esparza, present two performances of their 38th annual Don We Now holiday concert on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church at The Chicago Temple (77 W. Washington St., Chicago). Tickets start at $10 and are available at http://wcpaseason.bpt.me and at the door. 

NYChoral Rings in the Holiday Season At Alice Tully Hall 12/21

The New York Choral Society (NYChoral) under the direction of its music director David Hayes will ring in the holiday season with a Christmas concert at Alice Tully Hall on Wednesday evening, December 21st, at 7:30 p.m. The program, featuring soloists Frederick Ballentine and Justin Hopkins, will present works by two musical giants of 20th Century American choral music, Robert Shaw, whose 100th birthday would have been this year, and Robert De Cormier, NYChoral Music Director Emeritus, who was awarded the 2016 Michael Korn Founders Award by Chorus America for his lifetime contribution to the choral arts. The concert will also include works by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Elizabeth Poston, and James MacMillan, and will end with an audience sing-along of beloved Christmas carols. Protein Dance's MAY CONTAIN FOOD Embarks on Final Leg of UK Tour This Autumn

After a UK tour that started at the Lowry before a three week run at The Place in the Spring and has spanned the country, May Contain Food is embarking on the final leg of its tour with a date in Stockton on the 24th November, and two London dates: artsdepot on the 26th, and then finishes at Shoreditch Town Hall on the 6th as part of Spitalfields Music Festival.

The Bronx Opera Celebrates 50th Season With 'Falstaff Fiftieth', Today

The Bronx Opera will celebrate its 50th season in 2017 with two different takes on the story of William Shakespeare's lovable rogue knight, Sir John Falstaff: the rarely-performed Sir John in Love, by English composer Ralph Vaughan Williams (January 14, 15, 21, 22); and Verdi's Falstaff, the final, miraculous opera by the Italian master (April 29, 20, May 6, 7). Each production will be performed both in the Bronx, at Lehman College's Lovinger Theatre, and in Manhattan, at Hunter College's Kaye Playhouse. This will be BxO's third presentation of Sir John in Love (they gave the U.S. Premiere in 1978) and their first of Falstaff, and both operas will be performed in English.

The Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra Performs Handel's MESSIAH with Providence Singers, 12/10

The Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra welcomes the Providence Singers to the stage for their tenth joint performance of Handel's Messiah. Providence Singers Artistic Director Christine Noel takes the podium as guest conductor for this perennial favorite holiday concert. The performance features a family-friendly start time of 7:00pm on Saturday, December 10 at The VETS in Providence.  Soloists include soprano Margot Rood, mezzo-soprano Christina English, tenor Marcio de Oliveira and bass Nicholas Laroche.

Jason C. Tramm Conducts Puccini's TOSCA, 11/16

Jason C. Tramm will conduct a concert version of Tosca, Giacomo Puccini's visionary and dramatic operatic masterpiece on November 16 at the South Orange Performing Art Center. Inspired by the French playwright Victorien Sardou's 1887 widely popular play 'La Tosca' (which stared the great Sarah Bernhardt in the title role) Puccini's exquisite music, propelled the veristic tale of an unlikely heroine into one of the most beloved and frequently performed operas of all time.

IT IS EASY TO BE DEAD to Transfer to Trafalgar Studios This Autumn

Transferring from its critically acclaimed sell-out run at the Finborough Theatre earlier this year where it was nominated for seven OffWestEnd Awards including Best New Play, Best Male Performance, and Best Director, the world premiere production of It Is Easy To Be Dead by Neil McPherson opens at Trafalgar Studio 2, for a strictly limited four week limited season.
