Mayor Michael Nutter announced today that James Earl Jones-one of the country's most critically acclaimed stage and screen actors-will receive the 2012 Marian Anderson Award. Mr. Jones will accept the Award at a Gala Concert produced in partnership with The Philadelphia Orchestra on Monday, November 19, 2012, at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts.

After touring in Richard III with Kevin Spacey in The Bridge Project, an ambitious transatlantic endeavor between The Old Vic, Brooklyn Academy of Music and Neal Street Productions, Maureen Anderman returns to the Westport Country Playhouse in the upcoming production of The Year of Magical Thinking, Joan Didion's play based on her National Book Award winning memoir of the same name.

A CD version of the concept album for new musical The In-Between is being released by Dress Circle on Saturday 23 June 2012. The album will be launched with an in-store signing from 11am to 12 noon, with cast members just announced to attend including West End stars Sabrina Aloueche, Daniel Boys, Dianne Pilkington and Lauren Samuels.

BBC Worldwide America Sales & Distribution and PBS announced today the sale of the first season of the critically acclaimed British drama, CALL THE MIDWIFE to PBS. The series will premiere on September 30, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. leading into MASTERPIECE CLASSIC 'Upstairs Downstairs,' transforming Sunday nights into a destination for drama on PBS.
