BROADWAY SINGS FOR PRIDE will celebrate NYC Gay Pride by holding with their fourth annual Gay Pride benefit concert with over 15 Broadway shows represented and countless artists! The special one-night benefit entitled 'ANTHEM' will feature songs that embody gay perseverance marked by an array of musical performers from the world of Broadway, pop and beyond!

STARS IN THE ALLEY, presented by United Airlines, was presented yesterday, May 21st in Shubert Alley, between Broadway and 8th Avenue and 44th and 45th Streets. To add to the festivities leading up to the Tony Awards, the free outdoor concert in the heart of the Theatre District celebrated Broadway with star appearances and exciting performances from over 20 new shows and long-running favorites, accompanied by a live 12-piece orchestra. More than 400 guests joined two dozen celebrities and dignitaries at the annual Point Honors gala on April 7, which celebrated the accomplishments of Point Foundation (Point) scholarship recipients. Dr. Neal Baer, the Executive Producer and Showrunner for acclaimed television programs such as 'ER' and 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit' and 'Under The Dome,' received the Point Leadership Award, and Lena Dunham, the Golden Globe Winner and Emmy Nominated Actress and Producer of HBO's 'Girls,' accepted the Point Horizon Award.

Just yesterday, Tony's di Napoli Restaurant (147 West 43rd Street) unveiled their newest addition to their prestigious Broadway Wall of Fame- a portrait of the company of Once. BroadwayWorld was there for the special celebration and you can catch photos below!

Urban Stages Founding Artistic Director Frances Hill and producer Peter Napolitano present the World Premiere of Character Man as part of its 30th Anniversary season. Jim Brochu's new musical memoir just opened Off-Broadway at Urban Stages Theatre (259 West 30th Street) Wednesday March 5th. This limited run, in previews now, will continue through March 30th only. Robert Bartley directs, with musical direction by Carl Haan. Character Man will have scenic & video design by Patrick Brennan, lighting design by Meghan Santelli and sound design by Sean Hagerty. BROADWAY ON THE HUDSON concert, presented by United Airlines, took place in lower Manhattan on September 27th at Brookfield Place Waterfront Plaza (220 Vesey Street between North End Avenue and West Street). School of Visual Arts (SVA) announced the winners of its 2013 Dusty Film & Animation Festival and Awards, now in its 24th year, at an awards ceremony held May 7, 2013 at New York City's SVA Theatre (333 W. 23rd Street). Highlighting the work of more than 150 filmmakers and animators graduating from the BFA Film, Video and Animation Department, the annual awards were bestowed at the invite-only event.
