This winter, Company of Fools will present Nick Payne's critically acclaimed play Constellations. Constellations will run February 15 through March 4, 2017, at the Liberty Theatre in Hailey.
Chroma Key is an existential gross-out comedy about a woman pulled through parallel universes, and the dangerous things she brings with her. From an uncomfortable drive through the woods to an out-of-control detective novel where the narration disobeys its own narrator, to a nightly news broadcast performed by vomiting preteens with excellent spelling, no story seems safe enough for her to stand at its center.
Mad Cow Theatre is delighted to announce the Central Florida premiere of Nick Payne's Constellations, an award-winning love story crossing time and space, which will take the Zehngebot-Stonerock stage Feb. 17, 2017 as the fifth production of Mad Cow Theatre's Season 20. Mad Cow is thrilled to bring this new piece to life after an enthusiastic response from audiences during its reading at the theatre's 2016 Science Play Festival.
Marlborough Gallery presents the exhibition Journey from East to West in New York, by the Turkish Kurdish artist Ahmet Gnetekin whose sculpture Kostantiniyye has been protested, censored and eventually removed from the space where it was installed in Istanbul recently.
Tell me about working with Cirque du Soleil. How long have you been with them?
TORUK - The First Flight is my first Cirque du Soleil show. I started with the majority of artists in July of 2015. I actually first auditioned for Cirque du Soleil in 2001 and made it to their artist database in 2002. It was puppetry that finally got me to run away with the circus!
Four of Seattle's most promising choreographers create four new works in the pressure cooker of just four weeks at Velocity's Bridge Project - turning Velocity into an intense hive of urgency, excitement and dedication, kicking off 2017.

CONSTELLATIONS is a British drama by playwright, Nick Payne and is presented in Austin by Street Corner Arts. Originally premiering in 2012, the play is an exploration of love, fate, and quantum physics. After mesmerizing audiences and receiving rave reviews from London critics, it went on to win the Evening Standard Theatre Award for Best Play. In 2015 CONSTELLATIONS transferred to Broadway, with Jake Gyllenhaal and Ruth Wilson in the starring roles, and played 76 performances.
Canadian Stage hosts an immersive party inspired by Nick Payne's play Constellations. Montreal's Scientists for Love (SummerWorks Festival, CBC) will take guests through sensory and social experiments designed to confront not only parallel worlds, but the infinite opportunity of the universe. Part social experiment, part performance art and culminating in a massive dance party - participants are in for an unconventional and unforgettable evening.
The universe and all its wonders have been a mystery to humans since they first looked up at the stars. Author Elmira A. T. shares her theories about the universe, God, the power of the mind and the theory of wave-particle duality in quantum physics in a new book released by Dog Ear Publishing. As she writes, 'quantum is the science of possibilities.'
Her book, 'The Law of Attraction or the Law of the Observer,' shares Elmira's observations after years of studying such practices as Reiki and Halghe mysticism and their relationship to the physical realm. It wasn't until she began studying physics at the university that Elmira was drawn to the wave-particle duality theory, which posits the importance of the observer and that person's influence on the behavior of photons. Such theories from quantum physics match her experiences with her own mind, she writes, and led her to her own theory of success called the Law of the Observer.
The author further describes what she calls the collective mind, an intelligence shared by humanity that leads the conscious and subconscious mind to another theory, that of the Law of Attraction. Taken together, the two theories provide new avenues for people to reach personal goals and attain success, influencing how they interact with the world around them. String theory, parallel universes, destiny, love, the peaceful mind and logic as a disease are all topics she explores in the context of becoming a successful person who can achieve goals.
In the end, Elmira writes, the power of the mind is limited only by limits people put on themselves: 'Realities are first created in our mind and then we experience them.'
Elmire A.T. has been interested in the mechanisms of the universe and ways to attract success since she was a girl in Iran. She studied physics at Zanjan University, where what she learned about quantum physics changed her life. She also studies Reiki, meditation, Zen and Halghe mysticism, making the connection those practices have with the physical world.

Where do you start to describe Heresy, "Ireland's first electronic opera" by composer Roger Doyle? You can't, and I won't. Besides, there is no point. It's not about the story. It's not about the singing. To some extent, it's not even about the music. Heresy is, from start to finish, an exquisitely conceptual and sophisticated piece of metatheatre in disguise of an opera.
