Adam Page Makes His Debut At Downstage Theater 2/18-3/1

Winner of the Best Music by an Emerging Artist Award at the 2007 Adelaide Fringe Festival and one of South Australia's finest saxophone players, Adam Page makes his debut appearance from 18 February till 1 March at Downstage Theatre as part of the 2009 New Zealand Fringe Festival. A wicked experience for all ages, fresh from a successful run at the 2008 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Adam Page Solo is an hilarious interactive and improvised music performance 'making Mike Oldfield seem over produced' (The Sunday Mail).

Ars Nova Announces Their Winter/Spring Lineup

Ars Nova (Jason Eagan, Artistic Director; Jon Steingart and Jenny Wiener Steingart, Executive Producers) announces an exciting and eclectic Winter/Spring lineup: two featured presentations; a new Residency Encores series; and the continuation of three successful ongoing series, Out Loud, Tragedy Tomorrow and Uncharted.

Big Blue Buzz from the Guthrie Theater for December 2008

HOLIDAY HAPPENINGS The Guthrie will be closed on December 25 and January 1 in observance of Christmas and New Years Day, respectively. In addition, the building will close at 4 p.m. on December 24 and December 31. Regular building hours (8 a.m. - midnight) and backstage tours (offered Fridays - Mondays at 10 a.m.) continue throughout the holiday season on all other days.

Jennifer Westfeldt To Appear On 'Grey's Anatomy'

Wonderful Town's star Jennifer Westfeldt is scheduled to make a guest appearence on 'Grey's Anatomy.' Westfeldt will appear in three or four episodes of the ABC series. Grey's Anatomy stars Ellen Pompeo as Meredith Grey, Patrick Dempsey as Derek Shepherd, Sandra Oh as Cristina Yang, Katherine Heigl as Isobel 'Izzie' Stevens, Justin Chambers as Alex Karev, T.R. Knight as George O'Malley, Chandra Wilson as Miranda Bailey, James Pickens, Jr. as Richard Webber, Sara Ramirez as Callie Torres, Eric Dane as Mark Sloan, Chyler Leigh as Lexie Grey and Kevin McKidd as Owen Hunt.

ABC Cancels 'PUSHING DAISIES'

ABC made several midseason programming announcements, including the decision to not pick up 'Pushing Daisies,' for another full season. ABC also announced the end of 'Dirty Sexy Money' and 'Eli Stone'.

The Flea Theater announces the World Premiere of THE FOOTAGE. Written by Joshua Scher and directed by Claudia Zelevansky, previews of this online gaming drama begin October 23 with opening night scheduled for Saturday, November 8.

Guthrie Theater Announces 'Trashy Little Xmas Family Show' and 'Kevin Kling'

The Guthrie today announced two additions to its upcoming holiday season programming. The hilarious and well-loved storyteller Kevin Kling returns to the Wurtele Thrust Stage on Monday, December 8, in his celebrated one-man show: Kevin Kling: Tales from the Charred Underbelly of the Yule Log, while local honky tonk band Trailer Trash brings its annual Trashy Little Xmas Family Show to the Dowling Studio on December 14.

‘Amelia Earhart Jungle Princess’ Makes its World Premiere

The New Colony, Chicago's new theater company dedicated entirely to World Premieres, will start its inaugural season with Amelia Earhart Jungle Princess, the next project from the award-winning creative team of James Asmus and Andrew Hobgood. Written by Asmus and directed by Hobgood, Amelia Earhart Jungle Princess is, 'an escapist adventure fantasy, with a thoughtful underbelly,' says Asmus.
