Nathan Lane was honored last night at The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center's 15th Annual Monte Cristo Awards at the Edison Ballroom in New York City. Lane received the Monte Cristo Award in recognition of his outstanding achievements and contributions to the American theater. Check out a look back below!

The Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center just honored stage and screen star Nathan Lane with the Monte Cristo Award, which he received last night, April 13 at the Edison Ballroom. Known for roles as Max Bailystock in the musical The Producers, Oscar Madison in The Odd Couple, and, and recurring roles in Modern Familyand The Good Wife, Lane has created a wide footprint on American stage, film, and television. Other memorable and award winning roles include Albert in The Birdcage, Gomez in The Addams Family, and the voices of Snowbell in Stuart Little and Timon in The Lion King.

But don't go into PUPPET UP expecting to see Kermit and the Gang, this show features none of those Muppets, and instead showcases a group of more 'adult' Puppets who engage directly with the audience, using suggestions from current events and experiences to entertain guests with a unique blend of puppetry, comedy, improvisation and a little dirty fun. Most of us have a picture that pops into our head when we hear the word 'puppet' and it usually looks like something from Sesame Street. That's the kind of puppetry I started with. People also usually think that puppetry is for kids. I do that too. Then I went to The O'Neill Puppetry Conference in Connecticut. As the Artistic Director, Pam Arciero, says...I found my tribe. I wasn't familiar with the beauty and artistry of theater puppetry and I was blown away by it. Puppets are cool.
