Inspired by Truman Capote's infamous party at the Plaza Hotel, this year's Black & White Ball transforms the historic 19th century gothic revival Angel Orensanz Synagogue into a massive New Years Eve bash. Expect over the top décor, cutting-edge production, an exciting line-up of performances and an open bar all night. The event promises to boast a three level fête, taking full advantage of the center's 1849 architecture. Attendees will ring in 2011 beneath a multimillion dollar visual installation and spectacular state-of-the-art light and sound casted over 11,000 square feet of party space!

TheatreWorks, the nationally-acclaimed theatre of Silicon Valley, has announced the line-up for its 2010-2011 season. Founding Artistic Director Robert Kelley and Managing Director Phil Santora announced a 41st season that will include three world premieres (bringing the company's total to 56); three regional premieres including the newest play by the author of AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY, Broadway's quirky hit musical about writers writing a quirky hit musical and a spell-binding mystery about a Japanese-American veteran charged with murder; and two Broadway favorites. The company will once again lead off with an extensive New Works Festival.
This season, Nevada Public Radio is extending its greetings across the airwaves with its special holiday programming on both its News 88.9 KNPR and Classical 89.7 KCNV stations.

Four recent college graduates joined the Alley Theatre staff in December as the first members of the Alley Theatre's Fitzpatrick Internship program. This program was created as a tribute to Bettye Fitzpatrick, who has been integral to the success of the Alley working for over 50 years as a stage manager, production manager, director of interns and most notably as a member of the Acting Company before her retirement in 2009.
