Presented by Broadway In Chicago, THE 101 DALMATIANS MUSICAL is one of the world's greatest classic tales and will come to life on stage at the Ford Center for the Performing Arts, Oriental Theatre for a limited engagement February 16 to 28, 2010.

Based on the beloved book by Dodie Smith and led by an award-winning creative team including four-time Tony Award-winning director Jerry Zaks (A Bronx Tale, Smokey Joe's Café, Guys and Dolls), acclaimed bookwriter/co-lyricist B.T. McNicholl (Billy Elliot, Spamalot, The IT Girl), and Dennis DeYoung, co-founder of the legendary rock band Styx, The 101 Dalmatians Musical promises a quirky, upside-down view of the world where the audience sees life from a dog's point of view.

101 DALMATIANS MUSICAL will hold auditions for dogs to win a barking role in the production which will play the Theatre at Madison Square Garden from April 7 to 18, 2010. Auditions will be held on Thursday, February 11 from 2-3 and will be open to the first 101 dog owners to register their dogs. A panel of judges, including members of the musical cast will be on hand to determine the winner.

Magic Arts & Entertainment/Tix Productions, Troika Entertainment, Luis Alvarez and Jon B. Platt in association with Allen Spivak and Brad Krassner are pleased to announce the addition of Broadway's Sara Gettelfinger (Seuessical, Anything Goes, Nine and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) to the company of THE 101 DALMATIANS MUSICAL. Gettelfinger begins performances as the infamous puppy snatcher Cruella De Vil beginning with the show's Chicago engagement at the Cadillac Palace Theatre (151 W. Randolph St.) February 16 - 28, 2010.

This year, one of the world's greatest classic tales hits the stage for the first time with THE 101 DALMATIANS MUSICAL, which comes to TPAC's Andrew Jackson Hall January 19-24, as part of HCA/TriStar Broadway at TPAC, and in partnership with Bank of America.

Casting has been announced for the new Broadway musical COME FLY AWAY, conceived, choreographed, and directed by Tony Award-winner Twyla Tharp and featuring vocals by Frank Sinatra. COME FLY AWAY will star Matthew Dibble, Holley Farmer, Laura Mead, Charlie Neshyba-Hodges, Rika Okamoto, Karine Plantadit, Keith Roberts and John Selya, all of whom were in last fall's acclaimed world premiere production at Atlanta's Alliance Theatre.

The Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC) has announced that its membership ratified several contracts at the union's annual membership meeting held this past month. Attended by over 75 directors and choreographers and presided over by Executive Board President Karen Azenberg and Executive Director Laura Penn, the meeting also included the announcement of executive board election results and the presentation of the Joe A. Callaway Awards.

The Washington DC leg of the THE 101 DALMATIANS MUSICAL National Tour has been postponed until October 12 through 17, 2010. The tour's website states 'The engagement of The 101 Dalmatians Musical in Washington DC has been postponed to October 12 - 17, 2010 at the Warner Theatre due to publicity demands and routing issues surrounding the launch of its National Tour. The producers look forward to playing the market in Fall 2010.' The tour was set to play DC October 12 through 17, 2009.
