According to a report from Deadline.com, CBS has bought a comedy penned by actor Aasif Mandavi.

In Glenn Close's latest film she stars as Albert Nobbs- a woman passing as a man in order to work and survive in 19th century Ireland. Some twenty years after donning men's clothing, she finds herself lost in a prison of her own making. Close previously won an Obie Award for playing the Nobbs character Off-Broadway in Simone Benmussa's theatrical interpretation of Moore's short story, 'The Singular Life of Albert Nobbs.

The role of Gerado, the husband of Paulina Salas (Thandie Newton), will be played by Tom Goodman-Hill, and Doctor Roberto Miranda will be played by Anthony Calf in Ariel Dorfman's Olivier award-winning thriller Death and the Maiden.

Trevor Nunn's production of James Goldman's The Lion in Winter, produced by the Theatre Royal Haymarket Company, runs from 5 November 2011 - 28 January 2012, with press night on 15 November 2011. Voting in the 2011 BWW:UK Awards has been open for over a week now - and The Wizard of Oz and Much Ado About Nothing are leading the pack for the big prizes! Playful Productions and Michael Alden Productions have announced that the world premier production of the original play of The King's Speech by David Seidler will be brought to the stage next year in a production directed by Adrian Noble.

According to the Toronto Star, Ontario nativeand teen superstar Justin Bieber is being considered to star in an upcoming Toronto production of Les Miserables. Producer Cameron Mackintosh revealed to The Star: 'you're going to have a completely new, all-Canadian production opening at the Royal Alex in July, 2012.'

The first London production for 90 years of St John Ervine's searing Belfast tragedy Mixed Marriage, first seen at the Abbey Theatre, Dublin, plays for a four-week season beginning tonight (Press Night: Thursday, 6 October 2011 at 7.30pm) at the multi-award-winning Finborough Theatre.

According to Baz Bamigoye for Daily Mial, Trevor Nunn will direct a production of KISS ME KATE at Chichester Festival Theatre next year, which will likely make a West End transfer soon after. To read the full article, click here.

West End star Kerry Ellis is set to return to the Shaw Theatre for 'An Audience with Kerry Ellis,' tonight and October 1. Ellis will perform her most loved songs, and will discuss her life and career with Mark Shenton.

Les Misérables made its pre-Broadway premiere at the Kennedy Center in December 1986, and now Cameron Mackintosh's new 25th anniversary production of Boublil and Schönberg's Les Misérables will run in the Kennedy Center Opera House from September 28 to October 30, 2011. Featuring glorious new staging and spectacular reimagined scenery inspired by the paintings of Victor Hugo, the production is directed by Laurence Connor and James Powell with music by Claude-Michel Schönberg, lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer from the original French text by Alain Boublil and Jean-Marc Natel.

Full casting has been announced for Trevor Nunn's Royal Theatre's Haymarket production of James Goldman's Lion in Winter.
