Les Miserables has a tricky name that many people like to avoid by simply calling it Les Mis. With its recent stage and screen comeback, the Daily Telegraph decided to ask Cameron Mackintosh what he preferred to call the show when he first brought it to the stage 27 years ago.

Andrew Lloyd Webber's record-breaking musical Cats returns to the West End for a strictly limited 12 week run at the London Palladium beginning early December 2014. Based on T. S. Eliot's Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, tickets for this production will go on sale on Monday 7 July 2014 when casting and further details about the production will be announced.

Actress Kathy Voytko is speaking about the latest role which has brought her from Broadway to Brunswick, Maine, where she will portray Fannie Chamberlain in Maine State Music Theatre's second season production of Sarah Knapp and Steven M. Alper's musical, Chamberlain: A Civil War Romance. Voytko is clearly intrigued by the challenge of portraying this fascinating Civil War character whose life and that of her husband, legendary soldier, governor, and Bowdoin president, Joshua L. Chamberlain, was inextricably bound to this coastal Maine town.
Burning Coal Theatre Company Receives Grant from Fletcher Foundation to Support its Upcoming Iron Curtain Trilogy

Burning Coal Theatre Company announced today that A.J. Fletcher Foundation has awarded the Raleigh-based professional theatre a $37,500 matching grant in support of its upcoming production of The Iron Curtain Trilogy by the British playwright David Edgar. The Trilogy will be performed in repertory from September 4 - 27, 2014 and then moved to London's Cockpit Theatre for a three week run November 13 - 30, 2014. These performances will be the first ever of this powerful trilogy.
