The Daily Mail writes that Andrew Lloyd Webber's London Palladium version of CATS, which starred Nicole Scherzinger (and later Kerry Ellis) in the role of 'Grizabella', is lining up a six-week summer run at the Blackpool Opera House, beginning July 9.

For four weeks only (tonight, March 10 - April 5), the epic Broadway blockbuster will transform the stage at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre into 19th century France. Survival of the human spirit prevails in this larger-than-life tale of compassion and destruction. Seen by over 70 million people in more than 42 countries, LES MISERABLES has received over 76 awards internationally, including eight Tony Awards and five Drama Desk awards.

Tonight, March 6, noted arranger Fred Barton will bring the music of Broadway and the American Songbook showmanship to the Schimmel Center at Pace University in American Showstoppers: An Evening of Irving Berlin.

Laura Linney (The Big C, The Savages) and Seth Numrich (AMC's TURN, Broadway: War Horse) will perform in the Geffen Playhouse production of Switzerland by Joanna Murray-Smith (The Female of the Species, The Gift). This co-world premiere with Sydney Theatre Company will be directed by Mark Brokaw (Broadway: Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella, The Lyons) in the Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater at the Geffen Playhouse from tonight, March 6 to April 19, 2015. Opening night is Friday, March 13.

Cameron Mackintosh's acclaimed new production of Boublil & Schonberg's Les Miserables just welcomed several new cast members for its second year on Broadway last night, March 3 at The Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street). Joining the cast are Tony and Oliver Award nominee Gavin Lee (Mary Poppins) as Thenardier, Erika Henningsen as Fantine, Rachel Izen as Madame Thenardier, Brennyn Lark as Eponine, Chris McCarrell as Marius and Wallace Smith as Enjolras. Tony Award nominee Ramin Karimloo will perform as Jean Valjean through the end of the summer; Will Swenson, as Javert, and Samantha Hill, as Cosette, will continue in their roles as well. Internationally acclaimed director, Trevor Nunn will direct drama school students in a production of TWO GENTLEMAN OF VERONA. The play will open at The Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation Theatre on April 30 and run until May 12.

On Friday, March 6, noted arranger Fred Barton will bring the music of Broadway and the American Songbook showmanship to the Schimmel Center at Pace University in American Showstoppers: An Evening of Irving Berlin. Hailed by George Gershwin as 'the greatest songwriter that has ever lived,' the legendary Irving Berlin composed some of the most influential and widely-known songs ever written, many of which have come to form the Great American Songbook. Fred Barton now brings the power of Berlin's Broadway sound front and center, with a hot 14-piece orchestra and a cast of 17 Broadway singers and dancers, and direction and choreography by Jason Wise.
