Premieres has announced the cast and creative teams for this season's Inner Voices, the biennial series of solo works featuring new teams of playwrights and composers. Performances begin on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 8:00pm for a limited run through Saturday, November 17, 2018 at The TBG Mainstage Theatre (312 West 36th Street - between 8th & 9th Avenues).

Central Works 2018 season closes with a tale of madness, alienation and moral responsibility- Chekhov's WARD 6, adapted by Gary Graves opening Saturday Oct 13 running through Nov 11 (previews Oct 11 & 12) at the historic Berkeley City Club.

The Lone Bellow bring their passionate, deeply personal sound to Pepperdine University's Smothers Theatre at 8 p.m. as part of their acoustic tour on Thursday, October 4 at the Lisa Smith Wengler Center for the Arts.

Charlotte Bronte's book, 'Jane Eyre,' is a gothic melodrama which centers on strong-minded Jane's cruel treatment by her sadistic cousin and aunt, being shipped off to jail-like boarding school, departing to become a nanny for the ward of the wealthy but psychologically tortured Edward Fairfax with whom she falls in love, and the resulting angst of secrets revealed.

In May 2008, the body of Linda Bishop was found in an abandoned New Hampshire home along with a journal that documented her journey of starvation and loss of sanity. God Knows Where I Am, premiering Monday, October 15 at 10 p.m. on PBS (check local listings) tells Bishop's story; a well-educated New Hampshire mother diagnosed with severe bipolar disorder with psychosis, who was intermittently incarcerated and homeless.

Prepare for an illuminating journey when The Psychedelic Film and Music Festival holds its inaugural event featuring a lineup of science fiction, horror, fantasy, surrealist and virtual reality films, music and stage performances and panel discussions set to explore the altered states of consciousness and truth behind the vibrant and enduring psychedelic culture. The week-long gathering will feature musical performances by Simon Boswell with The AND, Psychic Ills, Heaven, Michael Tapper, Roosevelt Island and Nosh alongside appearances by researchers Dr. Dennis McKenna, Robert Barnhart and other special guests notable for breakthroughs in the psychedelic community. Premiering at venues in Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens, the festival will run October 1-7, 2018.

Eight-time GRAMMY® winner Dolly Parton will be honored at the 2019 MusiCares® Person of the Year tribute on Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, it was announced today by Neil Portnow, President/CEO of MusiCares and the Recording Academy. Proceeds from the 29th annual benefit gala will provide essential support for MusiCares (www.musicares.org), a charity founded by the Recording Academy that ensures music people have a place to turn in times of financial, medical, and personal need. Today the Lyric Hammersmith announces its Spring 2019 season, the final productions programmed by outgoing Artistic Director Sean Holmes. The season celebrates Holmes' tenure - bringing back one of his most successful shows, reflecting the Lyric's partnerships with the UK's leading theatre companies, and embodying a reputation for daring new work alongside a commitment to nurturing the creativity of young people.

There has been a lot of news swirling around stage to screen adaptations in the past few weeks, from Lin-Manuel Miranda directing a TICK, TICK... BOOM! movie, to Diane Paulus directing NBC's HAIR LIVE!, and this Friday, the Disney Channel original movie of the FREAKY FRIDAY musical will premiere.

MYO Youth Theatre will present the modern classic NEWSIES September 27-29 in McKinney Texas. Shows will be at the Church Street auditorium located at 306 North Church Street near the downtown square. The MYO production will feature 40 young performers from schools all over the North Collin County area. The show will be led by Frisco senior Eli Nash as Jack, Annelise Best as Katherine, Kai Petersen as Davey, and tiny Andie Miller as Les.
