RENT producer Allan S. Gordon and producer Elan V. McAllister rang the Opening Bell at the New York Stock Exchange on Thurs., August 14th, 2008 joined by RENT cast members Renee Elise Goldsberry, Andrea Goss, Trisha Jeffrey, Owen Johnston, Tracy McDowell, Destan Owens and Gwen Stewart to celebrate RENT's successful 12-year run at the Nederlander Theatre on Broadway and its final performance on September 7, 2008.

Continuing its free lunchtime series this week, '106.7 Lite fm Presents Broadway in Bryant Park 2008' welcomes the casts of Young Frankenstein, 13, Grease, Legally Blonde The Musical & Rent on Thursday, August 14th. The following day, Friday August 15th the casts of The Lion King, Enter Laughing, Hairspray, Godspell & Forbidden Broadway will be performing.

On April 3rd, 2008 John Lithgow and other Broadway stars were honored at a dinner at La Boheme in Hollywood, CA hosted by The American Theatre Wing and The Broadway League. This was the first time and event took place honoring Tony award winners and nominees on the west coast.

The Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF) will return to Atlanta, Georgia this summer to host the third annual Broadway Boot Camp. With special instruction from stars Shoshana Bean, Gavin Creel, Blake Daniel, Norm Lewis, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Amanda Watkins.

Singer/songwriter and musical theater composer Jeremy Schonfeld will be performing a solo-concert at New York's Zipper Theater Factory. The show will take place on Monday, March 3 at 9:30PM at The Zipper Factory Theater.

The Zipper Factory presents a wide-range of variety shows for in the theatre in March 2008, including The Wau Wau Sisters, Megan Mullally, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Joy Behar, 'Don't Quit Your Night Job' and 'Happy Sunshine Kung Fu Flower.'
