Running the gamut from vaudeville and musical theatre classics, to today's top Broadway shows, with a touch of "old blue eyes" thrown in for good measure, the 2011 Theatre Museum Awards pay tribute to a wide range of the performing arts.
Three-time Tony Award-winning scenic designer ROBIN WAGNER and esteemed costume designer LEWIS BROWN are among the 2011 TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards recipients. The awards will be presented at a ceremony on Friday, April 8 at 6:30pm at the Hudson Theatre (145 West 44th Street). Mr. Brown was selected to receive the 2011 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design, and Tony Award-winning scenic designer Robin Wagner will receive the Robert L.B. Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design. Sadly, Mr. Brown passed away in January of 2011. His award will be accepted by his long-time colleague and friend, Albert Wolsky, who was the recipient of the 2010 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award
Yesterday, January 25, the New York Public Library celebrated Al Hirschfeld with an unveiling of the installation of Al Hirschfeld's barber chair and life-long drawing table in the Lobby of the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center.

The celebration is open to the public, on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors will open at 2pm. Ticktin, Rachel Ulanet, Tony Walton, Sherman Yellen and Bock's daughter Portia, among others. Michael Montel will stage the event.

Lynch Theater at John Jay College. The production starred Candice Bergen, John McMartin, Sean Palmer, Bill Duell, John Windsor Cunningham, and Jessica Grove. Greg Anthony served as the music supervisor, arranger, orchestrator; Annbritt duChateau was the music director and the associate musical directors were Danny Percefull and Sue Anschultz. A multi-talented cast of 19 made this one of the largest of the festival productions. The principals were: Andy Mientus (Richard Hunter); Michael Halling (Luke Gerrish); Meggie Cansler (Stacia Jane Hauser); Jimmy Ray Bennett (Gideon Chapin); William Ryall (Silas Snobden); Stanton Nash (Higgins); Philip Chaffin (Allen Carlisle); Tyler Merna (Rob Carlisle); Dan Lawler (Foswell); Evan Jay Newman (Mickey Maguire) and Katherine McGrath (Mrs. Mooney).
