The Oregon Shakespeare Festival expands its ongoing commitment to the development and production of new work with five new commissions announced today.

Aurora Theatre will end its 15th Anniversary season with Over the River and Through the Woods by Tony Award-Winner Joe DiPietro closing June 5, 2011.

Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) has announced that DAVID WILSON BARNES (Second Stage's hit Becky Shaw), JUSTIN BARTHA (The Hangover, Broadway's Lend Me a Tenor), ANNA CAMP (Second Stage's The Scene, 'True Blood'), and KRYSTEN RITTER (Confessions of a Shopaholic, Second Stage's All This Intimacy) will appear in the world premiere comedy, ALL NEW PEOPLE, written by ZACH BRAFF and directed by PETER DuBOIS. ALL NEW PEOPLE will begin previews on Tuesday, June 28 and officially open on Monday, July 25 at 7:00pm at Second Stage's Tony Kiser Theatre (305 West 43rd street). The star-studded cast of HBO's new film, 'Too Big To Fail,' welcomes two new additions, Bill Pullman (Oleanna, 'Independence Day,' 'Sleepless in Seattle') and Matthew Modine (The Miracle Worker, 'Married to the Mob,' 'And the Band Played On'), according to deadline.com. 'Too Big To Fail,' set to begin production in October, will date back two years, highlighting the 2008 financial crisis and the various power brokers -- Merrill Lynch, JP Morgan Chase, Lehman Bros., among others -- who drove the United States near financial destruction. Based on Andrew Ross Sorkin's book, also of the same name, the film will be directed by Curtis Hanson and will be led by Academy Award winner William Hurt as Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson.

Ian Talbot will direct Peter Sham and Brad Carroll's new musical comedy, Lend Me A Tenor The Musical, based on the award-winning West End and Broadway hit comedy by Ken Ludwig. A riotous, unpredictable explosion of mistaken identities and unexpected romance, Lend Me A Tenor The Musical will run at the Theatre Royal Plymouth from 24 September - 6 October 2010, prior to an anticipated West End run in the Autumn which will be produced by Martin Platt and David Elliott in association with Eileen and Allen Anes.
