In December 1974 Tangerine Dream were invited to play in the grand setting of Rheims Cathedral, a move certainly seen at the time as groundbreaking. They were then invited to perform in the cathedrals of York, Liverpool and Coventry. The tour attracted unprecedented coverage in the media, especially at Coventry Cathedral, an iconic building rising like a phoenix on the ruins of the old cathedral bombed to bits by the Germans in 1940 (Tangerine Dream is, after all, a German band) as a celebration of peace and reconciliation, as well as a lasting showcase for great contemporary art.

Legendary Film Director Tony Palmer was in his archive looking for something completely different when he discovered a box of archive film and sound recordings from Leonard Cohen's famous 1972 tour, which formed the basis of the highly critically acclaimed, multi-prize winning and best-selling DVD 'Bird On A Wire.'

The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) celebrates the 200th anniversary of composer Richard Wagner's birth (May 22, 1813) with an unprecedented series of events this month. Tony-winner Michael Crawford's official web site is listing much news about the star including the upcoming November 11 release of The Fantastic World of Michael Crawford on DVD and a reported one-man show in the works.The stars most recent concerts have included the addition of new songs, video material and biographical bits as of late as the first tastes of what's said to be a brand-new show.

London sources are reporting that Michael Ball will fill in for 'several weeks' for Michael Crawford in the Woman in White while he recovers from the flu. Ball steps in February 22, Crawford expected to return April 4.
