Season 18 at New Village Arts is a celebration of the diversity of our community. With six mainstage productions, NVA has created an eclectic season of adventurous artistic experiences. For the third season in a row, NVA has parity between its male and female playwrights and has continued its commitment to open casting. We believe that representation on stage is incredibly important, and strive to make our casts as diverse as possible. Teatro Pueblo Nuevo will continue for its second year, and the season includes two San Diego Premieres, one West Coast Premiere, and one World Premiere adaptation. There is something for everyone in this season, and we can't wait to share it with you!

Directed by and starring Tony Houck (Craig Noel Award-winner for outstanding featured performance in Diversionary's 2008 production), and featuring Samantha Ginn (2012 Critics Circle Award-Winner), Justin Warren Martin, and Rick Shaffer on the piano.
The festive and zany Holiday production has officially landed back at Diversionary! Scrooge in Rouge is here to kick tradition in the Dickens with its quick-changing, cross-dressing take on the holiday classic, set in a Victorian music hall where three actors play 23 roles! San Diego favorites Samantha Ginn and Justin Warren Martin will be making their Diversionary Theatre debuts and diving into the production alongside the spirited return of the always hysterical Tony Houck who is reviving his role of Lottie for the 3rd year. The new comedy of horrors, She-Rantulas From Outer Space-in 3D!, conceived and written by local authors Phil Johnson and Ruff Yeager, began production last week for its world premiere production at Diversionary Theatre. The shows first performance is October 24 with and official opening November 2.
