TNT has renewed its hit original series MAJOR CRIMES, the year's #1 new cable drama. TNT has ordered 15 episodes of the Warner Bros. Television crime drama, which features two-time Oscar(R) nominee Mary McDonnell leading an outstanding ensemble cast.

TNT's blockbuster series The Closer ended its extraordinary seven-season run last night with 9,075,000 viewers in Live + Same Day, making it cable's #1 series telecast for the summer-to-date.

The Closer was followed by the series premiere of TNT's new drama Perception, which drew 5.6 million viewers and now ranks behind TNT's Dallas on the list of cable's top series launches for the year-to-date.

TNT has announced the series premiere or season return dates for nine different shows.

The 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, the only televised awards show honoring performers in film and television, announced nominees at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood on Thursday, December 16.

TNT has ordered new seasons of three of the network's hit series. The Closer, which continues to rank as ad-supported cable's #1 series of all time, will return for its seventh season. The series, starring Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander, raced out of the starting gate after an equally strong performance for the sixth-season premiere of The Closer, which delivered 7.7 million viewers, up 7% over its fifth-season premiere on June 8, 2009. Both premieres also rank as ad-supported cable's top series telecasts for the year-to-date among viewers and households.
