Lincoln Center Local Series, With FELA, Kristin Chenoweth, SWEENEY TODD and More, Expands to All Five Boroughs

Lincoln Center is expanding its Lincoln Center Local series, offering free screenings of world-class performances to library branches around New York City's five boroughs. The Lincoln Cente­­r Local: Free Screenings series, running from January to June 2015, is part of a pilot program run by Lincoln Center Education, and expands upon last year's Lincoln Center Local HD series.

After Conquering the Metropolitan Room and Iridium, BILLIE WILLIAMS To Stage Concert at Joe's Pub, 5/25

After her passionate, pulsating and highly praised Spring 2013 show The Sound of Blue, at Iridium Jazz Club, a prominent cabaret critic called Billie Williams, "An emotionally resonant vocalist . . . pithy, powerful, and sure of the terrain. She GIVES a performance." Now a year later--on May 25 at 7:30 pm--Billie Williams makes her debut at New York City's Joe's Pub in a show celebrating the release of her new original single Lonely Night in Harlem, a song inspired by life in her long-time Harlem neighborhood. Billie's concert will also feature other new original songs and she'll be supported by an amazing group of seasoned Blues and R&B professionals, including Stew Cutler: guitar; Double-Z: bass; Tony Allen: drums; Ron Thompson: keyboards; Birch Johnson: trombone; Charlie Lagond: sax; and Marty Bound: trumpet.

Lee Gamble to Replace The Haxan Cloak in Unsound Adelaide

World-renowned abstract electronic composer Lee Gamble (UK) will be replacing The Haxan Cloak at Adelaide Festival's experimental electronic music festival Unsound Adelaie due to unforeseen circumstances. Gamble is set to appear Friday, March 7 at Queen's Theatre, in a line up including Morton Subotnick (USA), Nurse With Wound (UK) and Cut Hands (UK).

Haven Theatre Chicago follows their hit run of Hedwig and the Angry Inch with The Wedding Singer, now through November 17, at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave. Based on the 1998 romantic comedy starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, The Wedding Singer is directed by Jess McLeod, music directed by Kory Danielson and choreographed by Jim Beaudry. Haven Theatre to Present THE WEDDING SINGER at Theater Wit, 10/13-11/17

Haven Theatre Chicago follows their hit run of Hedwig and the Angry Inch with The Wedding Singer, October 13 - November 17, at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Preview performances are Sunday, Oct. 13 and Monday, Oct. 14 at 8 p.m. and Thursday, Oct. 17 - Saturday, Oct. 19 at 8 p.m. Opening night is Sunday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. The regular performance schedule is Thursdays and Fridays at 8 p.m, Saturdays at 2 and 8 p.m. and Sundays at 7 p.m. Preview tickets are $20 and regular run tickets are $42.
