Script Club and Boundless Theatre Announce World Premiere of DRIP

From 1 - 10 November, as part of Back to Ours festival for the Hull UK City of Culture  we are proud to partner with Script Club to present Drip, a one man musical comedy about a 15-year old boy who signs up to Hull's first ever synchronised swimming team, though he can't swim.

Chester Theatre Company to Present FOLK this Month

Chester Theatre Company (CTC) is proud to present Tom Wells's Folk in the historic Chester Town Hall, 15 Middlefield Road in Chester, MA, from August 17 - 27, 2017. The production is directed by James Warwick, staging his eighth production for the company.

Full Cast Announced For Ellen McDougall's Inaugural Production As Artistic Director THE UNKNOWN ISLAND at Gate Theatre

Ellen McDougall today announced the full cast for The Unknown Island, her inaugural production of Artistic Director of Gate Theatre.  She directs Jon Foster, Hannah Ringham, Thalissa Teixera and Zubin Varla in the adaptation of Nobel Prize winner Jose Saramago's short story which opens on 18 September, with previews from 11 September, running until 7 October.

Ellen McDougall Appointed New Artistic Director of Gate Theatre

The Gate Theatre today announces that Ellen McDougall has been appointed as its new Artistic Director. McDougall, who takes up the position in March 2017, is currently an Associate Artist at the Gate, served as Associate Director for two years from 2012, and directed an acclaimed production of Idomeneus at the theatre in 2014. She replaces Christopher Haydon who leaves to pursue a Clore Fellowship and a number of freelance opportunities.

Sam Steiner Awarded Paines Plough Playwright Fellowship 2016

Today, Paines Plough announce that the second Paines Plough Playwright Fellowship is awarded to Sam Steiner and that the recipient of the new Paines Plough and Birmingham Repertory Theatre Trainee Director bursary is Anna Himali Howard.

Paines Plough Announces Full Cast and Creative Team for ROUNDABOUT 2016

Paines Plough, the UK's leading new writing company, is delighted to announce full cast and creative team for its Roundabout 2016 productions. Accomplished stage and screen actors Remy Beasley, Richard Corgan and Andy Rush will form an ensemble to perform the company's three new plays which will premiere from 5 to 28 August at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe before touring the UK.  The productions will be directed by Paines Plough's Joint Artistic Director, George Perrin with Sound Designer Dom Kennedyand Lighting Designer Prema Mehta completing the creative team.

Paines Plough Reveals Line-up for COME TO WHERE I'M FROM: LONDON

Artistic Directors of Paines Plough James Grieve and George Perrin today revealed the line-up for COME TO WHERE I'M FROM: LONDON, which will take place across six London venues from 27 June until 6 July. Partnering with new writing theatre company Tamasha, Paines Plough will present 26 writers from across London performing short plays about the place they call home. Birmingham Repertory Theatre Sets Autumn, Winter 2016 Season
