Mother and daughter, Rosemary Harris and Jennifer Ehle, both Theatre World Award Alumni, are 2013 Honorary Co-Chairs.

The Tony Awards are now less than a month away, and I've really been enjoying revisiting memories, cast albums, and even shows themselves since the nominations were announced! Michael Lindall is the face of London's latest Jay Gatsby as Ruby in the Dust's acclaimed stage version of the American literature classic The Great Gatsby returns to the London stage the very same week as Baz Luhrmann's Gatsby Hollywood movie opens in the UK. The Tony Award-nominated play ORPHANS will play its final Broadway show TODAY, MAY 19 after 27 previews and 37 regular performances at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street). The Drama Bookshop (250 West 40th Street) will celebrate the new Grove Press edition of ORPHANS this Friday May 17th from 5-7 PM when playwright Lyle Kessler is interviewed by Steven Adly Guirgis at the shop's Seelen Theatre. A Q&A and book signing will follow this free event.

Five months…  FIVE MONTHS after their previous musical comedy, Jumbo, opened at the Hippodrome, the trio of Richard Rodgers, Lorenz Hart and George Abbott had a brand new one at the Imperial.  But far from seeming a rush job, their 1936 On Your Toes can easily be argued to be a huge step forward in refining musical comedy into a sophisticated art form.
