Kitchen Theatre Company Raises Over $190,000 to 'Burn the Mortgage'

Kitchen Theatre Company's Board of Directors honored retiring Artistic Director Rachel Lampert with an appropriately theatrical ceremony in which the building's mortgage was 'burned.' In attendance were community members and representatives of organizations who donated to the over $190,000 Burn the Mortgage campaign.

Audiences have just over a month left to experience David Bowie and Enda Walsh's LAZARUS. The final performance of the production's strictly limited 13-week run will be held on Sunday 22 January 2017 at King's Cross Theatre, the brand new 900-seater venue built specifically for the production.

Rehearsals begin today for the European premiere of David Bowie and Enda Walsh's LAZARUS, ahead of preview performances from Tuesday 25 October in a brand new 900-seater venue at Kings Cross Theatre built specifically for the production. Playing for 13 WEEKS ONLY until Sunday 22 January 2017, LAZARUS will have its official opening night on Tuesday 8 November 2016.

It has conquered Broadway and the West End, and now Once will head home to Dublin, Ireland, opening at the Olympia Theatre on July 14, 2015. 'I'm absolutely delighted that Once is coming to Dublin and will play for the summer at the Olympia Theatre. This sweet little love story, so beautifully dreamt in film by John Carney, has travelled a long way on theatre stages around the world - and is finally returning home,' said creator Enda Walsh.

Suggs and Madness saxophonist Lee Thompson led the sell-out audience at the 10th anniversary charity gala performance of OUR HOUSE in an impromptu singalong of their greatest hits last night. It brought the curtain down at the Savoy Theatre on a night that saw many original cast members both in the production and on stage in the show in a fundraiser for the Help for Heroes Charity. Suggs played Joe's dad - a role he took in the West End in 2003. Check out photos from the event's after party below!
