A sparkling new production of THE WEDDING SINGER will tour the UK in 2017 opening on Monday 6 February at Leicester Curve. Jon Robyns, Ray Quinn, Cassie Compton, Roxanne Pallett and Ruth Madoc will star in the hilarious musical based on the hit film.

Producers Tom O'Connell and James Seabright are pleased to announce that they will be staging a first-class revival of Mart Crowley's ground-breaking play, THE BOYS IN THE BAND, opening at Park Theatre in London this autumn, and that, due to popular demand, the production will embark on a short tour to The Lowry, Theatre Royal Brighton and West Yorkshire Playhouse.

Details have been announced today for Park Theatre's Autumn-Winter 2016 Season. Mark Gatiss, who recently won an Olivier Award for Three Days in the Country at the National Theatre, will join forces with husband Ian Hallard for a revival of THE BOYS IN THE BAND, Golden Globe winner Anne Archer stars in the London premiere of THE TRIAL OF JANE FONDA, and there's new work from Jonathan Maitland and Peter Quilter, as well as a major JB Priestley revival.

Today, producer Mark Goucher has confirmed that following the phenomenal success of the current UK tour, the new production of Hairspray will return at the end of summer 2017 to once again tour the UK. This second tour of the smash hit musical will visit venues across the country until the spring of 2018. Casting, dates and locations for the 2017/18 tour will be announced in due course.

Hairspray will star Tony Maudsley (ITV1's Benidorm) as Edna Turnblad, TV and stage actress and presenter Claire Sweeney (Educating Rita, Guys and Dolls) as Velma Von Tussle, Olivier Award nominated actor and much-loved Blue Peter presenter Peter Duncan (BBC1 Tumble) as Wilbur Turnblad and British singer and West End performer Brenda Edwards (Chicago, We Will Rock You, The X Factor) as Motormouth Maybelle.

Nikolai Foster's celebrated anniversary production of Jonathan Harvey's Beautiful Thing will return to the West End in 2015, playing a limited season at the Arts Theatre where it originally enjoyed sell-out success, from 3 June - 11 July. This London season will be part of an 18 week UK tour, opening in Canterbury last month, then visiting Birmingham, Manchester, Guildford, Nottingham, Northampton, Leicester, Cardiff and Brighton. Freya Sutton will reprise the role of Tracy Turnblad alongside established musical theatre performer Jon Tsouras (A Chorus Line) who will play the role of Corny Collins. Dex Lee (The Scottsboro Boys) will play Seaweed, Ashley Gilmour (Miss Saigon) will play Link Larkin, Lauren Stroud (Wicked) will play Amber, Monique Young (Top Hat) will play Penny, Karis Jack (Urinetown) will play Little Inez, Adam Price (Hairspray) will play Male Authority Figure, Tracey Penn (Made in Dagenham) will play Female Authority Figure and Layton Williams (Bad Education, Billy Elliot) will play Duane. Further casting will be announced in due course.

Casting is now complete: best known as series regular 'Kris Fisher' in Channel 4's Hollyoaks most recently seen on screen in BBC2's The Fall, and on Netflix' epic Titanic: Blood and Steel, Gerard McCarthy will star as 'Tony'. Other theatrical credits include The Merry Wives of Windsor at the Globe, and Blue/Orange for ATG. Vanessa Babirye, recently seen on screen in BBC 2's Our Girl, and at the National Theatre in Romeo and Juliet will star as 'Leah'. Also joining the company will be Rob Ellis and Natalie Law.

A new production of the international smash hit Hairspray will embark on a major UK tour in 2015/16. This big, bold and beautiful musical comedy will begin its UK tour at Leicester's Curve theatre on 9 September 2015 and will then tour to 29 venues across the UK, including a Christmas residency at Birmingham Alexandra Theatre in December 2015.

Jonathan Harvey's landmark play Beautiful Thing is the next production to be released by Digital Theatre. Yesterday, Digital Theatre released its first trailer from Beautiful Thing. Celebrating its 20th anniversary year, Digital Theatre captured Beautiful Thing during its acclaimed run at the West End's Arts Theatre. The brand new 20th anniversary production of Jonathan Harvey's classic play, Beautiful Thing, which opened to rave reviews and huge critical and public acclaim, will finish at the Arts Theatre on 25 May before a short UK tour visiting Liverpool, Leeds and Brighton. Directed by Nikolai Foster, and designed by Colin Richmond, the production stars Suranne Jones as 'Sandra', Zaraah Abrahams as 'Leah', Oliver Farnworth as 'Tony and introducing Jake Davies as 'Jamie' and Danny-Boy Hatchard, making his professional debut as 'Ste'.

In 2013 the play is twenty years old and will be celebrating its anniversary with a return to London for the first time in over 8 years, starring Suranne Jones as Sandra, Zaraah Abrahams as Leah, Oliver Farnworth as Tony and introducing Jake Davies as Jamie and Danny-Boy Hatchard as Ste.
