Just one week before America finds out who has triumphed at the Golden Globe Awards, BBC AMERICA pays tribute to the ceremony with a day of programming dedicated to two of the most talked about nominees. On Sunday, January 9 BBC AMERICA's Golden Sunday will feature a marathon of the six-part miniseries Luther - starring Golden Globe nominee, Idris Elba ? before airing a 30 minute documentary, The King's Speech: Behind The Scenes, including never seen before footage from the cast and crew behind the multi-award winning movie, which has seven Golden Globe nominations.

Starz Sells Quarter Equity Stake To Weinstein Company

In a significant strategic partnership within the ever-changing home/digital entertainment market, Starz, LLC has agreed to sell The Weinstein Company (TWC) a 25% stake in Starz Media, LLC, a programming production, home entertainment and international TV distribution company which includes Anchor Bay Entertainment and other TV/home entertainment assets. Separately, Anchor Bay has entered into a multi-year domestic distribution agreement for new theatrical content from TWC and its Dimension Films label.

Film Independent, the non-profit arts organization that produces the Spirit Awards and the Los Angeles Film Festival, announced nominations this morning for the 2011 Film Independent Spirit Awards. Eva Mendes and Jeremy Renner served as presenters and 2011 Spirit Awards host Joel McHale was also on hand. Nominees for Best Feature include 127 Hours, Black Swan, Greenberg, The Kids Are All Right and Winter's Bone.
