Waterwell announces the official launching of its film division with the World Premier of the short film, Day Ten.

New York's television and theatrical celebrities will take their place behind the bar at the annual "Stockings with Care Celebrity Bartending Night" in New York City on Tuesday, November 19th at Hudson Station Bar and Grill (440 Ninth Avenue between 34th and 35th Streets) from 7pm to 11pm to raise money for the not-for-profit organization. Stockings with Care provides holiday gifts for children whose families live in homeless shelters or are in jeopardy of becoming homeless.

Theatre Puget Sound (TPS) has announced husband and wife team, John Kazanjian and Mary Ewald as the 2013 recipients of the Gregory A. Falls Sustained Achievement Award. The committee of prior recipients has made this selection to honor their dedication to the Seattle theatre community, much of it through their efforts with The New City Theatre. This award along with 17 others will be presented at the 5th Annual Gregory Awards being held at The Neptune Theatre on Monday, October 28, 2013 at 7:30pm.

The Writers Guild of America, East Foundation has changed its name -- it is now called the Writers Guild Initiative (WGI). The name change is part of a rebranding that recognizes the organization's long time proactive and focused mission: 'to perpetuate the art and craft of storytelling, either by professionals or amateurs, through education and practical experience, on local, national, and global levels.' Cineflix Studios, in association with BBC AMERICA and Shaw Media, announced today that production has started for Season two of the 1860s New York City drama, COPPER.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the NBC network is planning a possible drama series which will give viewers an in-depth look at America's first President, George Washington. The project will examine both his years in the presidency and his service as a hero during The Revolutionary War.

BBC AMERICA has renewed its first original scripted series, COPPER, for a second season, ahead of the season one finale this Sunday, October 21 at 10:00pm ET. The channel has re-commissioned the drama with an increased order of 13 episodes from Cineflix Studios.
